Roku doesn’t charge a monthly fee but some of the channels you subscribe to do. Like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

I can’t understand that either. Perhaps I was a George W. Bush Conservative due to the fact there were no alternatives and nothing better available. He did an OK job, but fell far short of any and all expectations. Now....Jib Jeb after one failed Bush Presidency, why on earth would I want a second? This perhaps the reason why? And, needless to say I would NEVER vote for a Democrat ticket. Not in this life time anyway. To vote for Jeb, is to vote for more bows and fewer wows

I like Trump, but his attacks on press commentators and other candidates are a big turn-off...

you didn't just say that, did you? I can't believe you said that.

When you make a statement that all should be covered, you default to someone paying for it. Thats where we are now.

Norm, it's where we have always been.  I explained that to you in detail.  One way or another, those people have been, are now, and will continue to be covered.

Don't you think it's best we find the best way, lowest costing way, to achieve that?  Isn't reducing that cost a Conervative ideal?

What's Conservative about going back to simply paying the costs of people turning up at the E. R.?  This is the highest cost for the worst type of coverage.  Is that Conseervative?  Of course it isn't.  Don't act as if there was a Coservative plan in place.  There wasn't.

When you put govt in charge of healthcare, which is what wrecked it, you get what we have now.

I agree.  I envision a savings program for citizens that would see their full health care, retirement, insurance, and other needs combined to provide much better individual financial standing, and removing the government entirely.

When you say ‘all should/must/will’, then government hyperregulation has to follow. Has to.

Norm, we were always providing health care services.  You need to come to terms with that.  By law, every emergency room in the nation had to provide health care services to any human being that showed up and needed care.

You are acting as if we had a Conservative plan and discarded it.  That simply isn't true.

When government gets between a doc/patient directly, or via insurance rules and regsa, people die.

Norm, by this point you have to be refusing to deal with reality to continue to make comments like this.

70 - 80% OF ALL HEALTHCARE WILL BE PRIVATE SECTOR INSURANCE RELATED, DEVOID OF ANY GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT!  Read this until you comprehend it.

There is one solution. Get govt the F’ out to the ultimate extent. Out of insurance, out of regulation and out of control.

Norm, how could you have missed the point I have been making.  That is exactly what Trump is trying to do.

Even if he supports a plan to cover the 45 million, if it does it at a lower price and provides better service than in the past, isn't that reducing government involvement?

If we used to pay $150 billion for this segment's E.R. admission coverage, and that is reduced to $75 billion, isn't that moving government out by 50%?  Yes it actually is.

What part of this are you unable to grasp?  Trump is trying to move us as far off a government plan as we have had for at least 40 years.

Before this madness, more people were insured at less cost with fewer regs.

Norm, that will no longer be true when Turmp returns health care to the private sector.  You can't grasp that?  You tell me Norm, am I dealing with a person who can reason or not?  If you can, please show some signs of it.

Default to that. Then work on the rest. Not don’s way or the highway.

Norm, you're completely out to lunch here. There's no connection to reality showing up in your responses.  You are ignoring what Trump has proposed, to denegrate it off point.  You are totally wrong here.

Or Barrys. Or anyone elses. Want ins? Buy it. Want to go out of pocket, do it. And NO interference between doctor and patient via regs.

I don't forsee Trump demanding people have insurance if they can cover their costs out of pocket.

Why you feel the need to bring that up when it's just plain absurd, is beyond me.

I found out that by paying 1600.00 cash for a hernia operation from a top flight doctor at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, I could eliminate any wait. The insurance billing would have been $6,000. I rest my case.

Govt OUT completely, or we suffer double the premiums, and TRIPLE the deductibles. Now we are suffering them Obama should be doing 15 to life for his health care lies alone!

I believe there is truth in that, but don’t let the billing fool you.

What the hospitals bill the insurance companies IS NOT what they get reimbursed.

They get a set fee for the type of service provided.

These are broken down into groups. DRGs

D iognostic
R elated
G oups

Your type of service was probably in a DRG that provided the hospital it’s dead net costs plus a very small stipend.

No hospital is getting $6,000 for a procedure you can get away with paying $1,600 dollars for. Those days ended about 25 years ago.

To your point, I do believe competition is increased when the government is totally out of it, so don’t think I disagree with your premise.

They have pretty much wrung everything out of hospitals that they could.

I’d love to sit in on a meeting where they discuss regulations and documentation. There is fertile ground there. I’m just not sure how much these two areas can be cut back and not reduce the quality of care.

I’m all but certain both sides are anxious to put this behind them; neither can afford to be without the other right now. I’m sure there won’t be any beer summit, but they will walk away with a mutual understanding... at least for the time-being

I agree with you.

Trump should get them to lay off the snide comments though.

They can’t continue to run to the press putting him down for this and that as there were, related to their spat.

Both sides need to swear off that sort of thing, unless the other side breaches an agreement.

who else running do you know who can go to Washington and totally implode those jackasses in both parties?.. The country is being destroyed by those people so fast we don’t recognize it anymore... if you have somebody in mind better than Trump to get the silent majority unleashed again to make this country great like it used to be again then feel to toss out that super candidate whomever that might be,, that person is not running now so it must be a secret.... I like Cruz but he’s not going to do it, neither is Fiorina or Carson.. so we’ll be waiting?

Bret Baer and his entire special report panel have gone so low that I am tempted to refer to them as worthless POS.

Bret Baer has proven he is no longer a journalist

I’m blown away by everyone who continues to defend the thin skinned Trump.

I'm blown away by people who keep whining about Trump supposedly whining. You don't respect or tolerate the enemy. You stand up to it and beat it into submission, which is what Trump is doing.

I have to admit I haven’t read all the posts yet, so maybe this has already been addressed, but what I find strange is this is coming from the man (Roger Ailes) who said he was going to do everything he could to save America from Trump becoming President. So much for standing by his convictions.

You must be in healthcare, or a member of your family is. Your knowledge and proposed solutions are quite reasonable.

Thanks, my FRiend. I’ll attempt to sign for the free on line and if it fails, we’ll give Roku a shot. There are only a few places which do any streaming we wish to see on tv. OAN being one and then a few web sites which we can view on line. Black Route and Vettle have streaming movies which we do get on our computer ...but unable to see on the TV due to flash player updates needed. :-(
