Fox’s Roger Ailes to Sit Down with Donald Trump to Discuss Coverage
Mediaite ^ | September 24th, 2015 | Alex Griswold

Posted on 09/24/2015 11:03:59 AM PDT by monkapotamus

Only a day after Donald Trump announced that he was boycotting Fox News— and after Fox News announced they had cancelled him first– the network has announced that they will enter talks with Trump to discuss his concerns.

Below is the full statement, provided to Mediaite by a Fox News spokesperson:

Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes and Donald Trump spoke this morning and plan to have a meeting next week to discuss their differences of opinion regarding Fox’s coverage of Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign. Ailes will be joined by senior Fox editorial executives. Mr. Trump believes he has been treated unfairly in certain instances. FOX News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage. We believe a candid meeting about our differences is required and that any misunderstandings can be handled without compromising those standards.

Fox enables George Will, who has compared deportation to the HOLOCAUST. Fox can take a running jump

Serious!

Punish them hardcore as an example. then watch the rest fall into line. They wanna be leftists? Treat them accordingly. Not like they will break out in sudden conservatism so use and abuse’em.

“FOX News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage.”

this is pure bull...BOR plays with Trump like he’s a chump. He goes on his program and openly SAYS THE MAN HAS A 25% CHANCE OF WINNING.

Why would you such a thing? In other words, you make a statement like that, then you’ll arrange your guests and your commentary to prove you point.

As fro Megyn Kelly, she’s a joke.

Doesn’t matter... I begin my Lenten period of no watching Fox starting today.

Could he do this with OPEC or countries refusing to take back their jihadists?

“Fox News announced they had cancelled him first”

Good, than why talk? They canceled him, and Trump says good, I’m not going on your worthless network again.

I think I’d tell Faux News to show me, over the next two weeks, their contriteness by their actions. After that I’d decide whether to talk with them.

I don't know. Do you think he could or that he couldn't?

First thing Fox needs to do is apologize to their viewers for Rich Lowry’s slimy language and promise to never put that hack on again

Where Trumps policies don’t conform to Conservatism, I think he should be vulnerable to withering criticism.

When he’s doing things right, every FReeper should be willing to admit it.

There is a group here who are essentially acting as a GOPe hit squad.

They are not honest. They attack Trump and others with lies. It’s nothing buy pure propaganda and misinformation.

At some point, that needs to be looked at.

There’s very little honestly connected to it. That being the case, it’s my take some of those folks have worn out their welcome.

Trump has had some very good, positive interviews on other networks recently. The ones with Jimmy Fallon and Steven Colbert were so much more professional than the "gotcha'" journalism of Megyn Kelley.

I can't imagine how Fox regains it's status as a fair news source for conservatives. MSNBC is better....how did that happen?
