Fox’s Roger Ailes to Sit Down with Donald Trump to Discuss Coverage
Mediaite ^ | September 24th, 2015 | Alex Griswold

Posted on 09/24/2015 11:03:59 AM PDT by monkapotamus

Only a day after Donald Trump announced that he was boycotting Fox News— and after Fox News announced they had cancelled him first– the network has announced that they will enter talks with Trump to discuss his concerns.

Below is the full statement, provided to Mediaite by a Fox News spokesperson:

Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes and Donald Trump spoke this morning and plan to have a meeting next week to discuss their differences of opinion regarding Fox’s coverage of Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign. Ailes will be joined by senior Fox editorial executives. Mr. Trump believes he has been treated unfairly in certain instances. FOX News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage. We believe a candid meeting about our differences is required and that any misunderstandings can be handled without compromising those standards.

Are you really ‘concerned’ about Trump or is this a backhanded way of trashing him?

(you don’t want to imitate democrats - the party of liars - with fake concern... right?)

The first time the FOX Walrus left his office was to give his marching orders for the Trump assault to begin. Then he said there was a truce, which never materialized.

Now after other cable networks gave Trump a lot of morning air time, the Walrus is trying another scheme. Maybe the Walrus should just stay in his pen and stop trying to be a big pimp in the election industry! Or as Jessie Jackson recommended: "STAY OUT DA BUSHES"!

If I understand your post clearly, I agree with your take on it.

We have wanted a scrapper. Trump is willing to do it with the other candidates, the media, the talking heads, and the networks.

Yeah, we begged for that. Now here he is and whoa, he’s just too thin skinned, childish, petulant... B. S.

It’s the same thino on policy. We begged to have a guy who listened to us and tweaked his platform to come into alignment. Here he is, and now he’s described as changing just to get votes.

Well yeah!!!! Hello!!!!

I’ve said it for a few weeks now, this guy is what we always said we wanted. If we can’t get behind him, why would anyone else ever want to listen to us.

I’ve listened to his interviews, and I think the guy is the real deal. He explains why he wants to take action. It makes sense listening to him.

His change on bringing more Islamic adherents here was very refreshing. Good grief, the guy moves in our direction and some folks take offense to it.

Very strange.

Well they better take a look at Meagyn Kelly show tonight as well as Bill O.

Bill O had their VP of fox polling on saying Trump was the biggest loser

Kelly was foaming at the mouth she was so excited that some polls 3 or 4 she said had Trump either falling or stopped

She conceded that the best poll for Trump was the new Fox poll, but Fox puts more stock in others polling.

Dont get me wrong, I have no use for Fox poll or any poll, I think they all have an agenda, it was clear they were going to all follow CNN wink by trying to show Trump going the other way

They named Bloomberg as well as a couple others, they are all liars.

I have been saying this about polling for years, not because I dont like the results for my guy of the day, no that is not it.

Anybody that believes the pollsters are above fudging their numbers is very naive, it`s not like it`s against the law to put out lying polls, it is not.

Dissing Fiorina’s looks is an example that was way over the line.

Fiorina did the exact same thing to Boxer during the senate campaign. She made fun of Boxer's hair and looks. Of course, none of us cared because it was Boxer.

Might help if you took your head out of the sand. Trump has already published his detailed plan on immigration, 2nd amendment and foreign trade. COming this week is his tax plan.

She’s every man’s bitter ex-wife.

I’m sure that will play well with voters.

This weeotch was married while having an affair with (now husband) Frank...who was also married, at the time.

His daughter, Lori, was only 10 when Snarly and Frank met and only 14 when they married. Snarly claims Lori as her own daughter, but Lori and her younger sister were, in fact, raised by their mom.

What a creepy start to a marriage and, what a creepy thing for his daughters to have to go through.

Who can trust this person?

Thank you very much for your response. I agree with everything you said. I just needed to check in to get a little grounding with everything going on at lightning speed.

I have been a lurker for many years and do not post much, but I spend a great deal of time here reading as much as I can, which is a lot. I’ve started to post a little more during this highly charged election season.

One can learn a great deal at this site and also get a feel for the people that post here frequently. You deserve the praise, among some others. I almost couldn’t hold it together though when you and others were responding to, oh whats his handle Mike M? and he would eventually end up coming back at the end with something like - thanks for sharing. Good stuff.

Thanks for your observations. Everyone likes to have their thoughts appreciated, but I also realize there are folks who don’t particularly care for my views, so I take praise with a grain of salt. It was nice to read your perceptions.

Take care.

Except, what he is doing is working and Trump is winning. If you set aside that fact, you are correct. Trump is getting what he wants done, which should make more people take him more seriously. The free publicity is a bonus which the other candidates would love to have but cannot get. Trump is showing people how it is done but the other candidates are not picking up on it much. I guess you think Trump should do the “dignified” Dole/Bush/McCain/Romney thing and meekly let himself be lied about by the MSM?
