Fox’s Roger Ailes to Sit Down with Donald Trump to Discuss Coverage
Mediaite ^ | September 24th, 2015 | Alex Griswold

Posted on 09/24/2015 11:03:59 AM PDT by monkapotamus

Only a day after Donald Trump announced that he was boycotting Fox News— and after Fox News announced they had cancelled him first– the network has announced that they will enter talks with Trump to discuss his concerns.

Below is the full statement, provided to Mediaite by a Fox News spokesperson:

Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes and Donald Trump spoke this morning and plan to have a meeting next week to discuss their differences of opinion regarding Fox’s coverage of Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign. Ailes will be joined by senior Fox editorial executives. Mr. Trump believes he has been treated unfairly in certain instances. FOX News has held every candidate in this race to the highest journalistic standards throughout our coverage. We believe a candid meeting about our differences is required and that any misunderstandings can be handled without compromising those standards.

He’d do himself a favor by ignoring critics

That worked out so well for GW.

I was thinking more tearing down say, DC. It doesn’t get used for anything beneficial and that would leave enough room to add statues and artworks in tribute to our supernatural predictive skills for a couple of years before we expand it into Virginia and Merryland to handle the overflow..

I saw it the same way. Carly had a planned out response to Trump. He trumped her.

I laughed when he wheeled around and looked at her and said that.

She got all red and was fuming because she was no longer able to use her rehearsed response.

Same Here Harley Lady,
we do not have cable but we do have a new smart tv which is about as smart as oh, the dark won. After searching for an on line site for this news station we have found absolutely nothing. Someone, PLEase help us find an alternative. We would be eternally grateful.

I would say I’m a bit more of an optimist on Trump, but I do think you nail it pretty close to the situation.

None of us truly knows exactly what he’ll do for us. We never do.

Going in I think a lot of folks thought Bush was going to be amazing. He was, unfortunately. = :^(

It will be interesting.

I agree with your Jeb vs G. W. comments, but I think Jeb is even less capable than G. W. I may be wrong there, but I sure lean that way.

I would leave Kelly on the panel. If she asks another bimbo question Trump can kick her ass again.

Excellent point about the Trump/iCarly exchange.

She could not go for the jugular after he defused her rant.

PWNED!

You bought into the CNN manipulation
First third was designed to put Trump in juvenile bickering by design of their questions. Thereby they could cover all the time he was given with non professional pival
The secord third they gave substantial questions on policy to those they wanted to shine
The third part was clean up. Trying to catch up to those they ignored or the general $10 dollar or other non relevant code name questions
The fact you fell for it was CNNs plan. Listen to his interview with Tim Scott. He was asked substitive questions and gave substantial answers.

A woman scorned. A woman caught in a con. A mean-spirited loser.

No wonder she was hated at Lucent and HP.

Bingo.

THAT is what they will be talking about. The Free Trade Bill. That’s why the coverage is so slanted against Trump now.

However, Fox isn’t in the greatest position to be negotiating.

I like Trump, but his attacks on press commentators and other candidates are a big turn-off and make him look like a juvenile.

That's just you and some others. Bashing the media is part of why Trump is polling so well. And the media he bashes all want him on their channel because Trump brings in ratings. Trump has the upper hand with the media. Its usually the opposite with Republican candidates. In fact one of Mitt Romney's complaints was being ignored and not covered by the major media when out campaigning against Obama.

You can kill a candidate just by blacking him out. Trump learned from Mitt Romney's experience and that of other Republican saps and chumps.

“Trump should allow Ailes to come to him at Trump Towers, as he did before. After listening to whatever BS Ailes has to spout, Trump can just say, “You’re fired” and get up and leave.”

I like it.

Yesterday Trump was tweeting his morning line up of non-Fox shows.

And then he promoted One America News Network.

Trump is an existential threat to FOX at this point. He has exposed their bias, and Fox viewers went to FOX in the first place because of the bias apparent on other networks.

With Trump promoting another network, Fox could seriously be damaged.

Why, thank you, so very much. In the same boat has Harley Lady here. No cable, so only use internet for live streaming. Your helpful message is most appreciated. Roku it is I guess....hooked up to smart tv. We were uncertain as to the monthly fee for Roku ..or is it a monthly fee for the particular service you sign up for?
