A former Scott Walker aide fired off a scorching tweetstorm about why Walker dropped out

A former top aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) fired off a series of tweets Monday afternoon explaining why the governor dropped out of the race.

Less than an hour after news broke that Walker would suspend his campaign, Liz Mair — a former Walker adviser who was forced to resign earlier this year after criticizing various aspects of Iowa politics — tweeted out more two dozen tweets explaining the governor's demise.

Mair blamed the governor's sagging poll numbers less on the anti-establishment political climate and more on a number of strategic miscalculations.

Don’t forget this nugget:

Liz Mair @LizMair
One last thought: Walker’s timing is good. Word is he just avoided getting tied to a very bad story that could well have been coming.

Is it just me or do others also detect a deep bitterness in the “farewell addresses “ of the candidates this cycle?
A bitterness, I don’t remember from the past. Or am I just looking back to the past through white and blue lens?
I think we are seeing a absolute hatred of Donald Trump and the voters that support him by the elite. They are not going to easily surrender their power and the money that comes with it.

A shame. I’d blame it as much on the media. First debate, 9 out of ten in minutes. Second, dead last, 3 questions, the first 90 minutes in. Solid plan to replace Obamacare, solid plan to deal with public unions, no coverage. And the winner of three elections in 4 years, two of which were essentially nationalized. I suspect he was having trouble competing for money, a problem some of the other serious (my description) candidates are likely having. As much of a win for Jeb as Trump. Too bad, my preference was Walker then Kasich. We may well end up with either a legacy or a blowhard with, imo, questionable staying power relative to his positions.

The real reason for the lack of support for Walker is that the 40 million or so people receiving government incomes (most political people) want more socialism.

He was 100% correct...for anyone to put as much emphasis on the Iowa caucus as we seem to do is ludicrous. There are about 500 people in the state and somehow they have influence enough to change elections....that’s PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!

I guess Liz doesn’t want to work on any future campaigns for anyone else.

I think Walker will be back in 4 or 8 years. He really wasn’t primed for running this time around. The experience he received this time will pay off later.

Those are right on. I really liked Walker but I could tell the donor money started to affect him and weaken his views.

Yup, but... I guess she doesn't want to get hired again.

"Walker’s timing is good. Word is he just avoided getting tied to a very bad story that could well have been coming."

I wouldn't exactly call that a "nugget". It has the ring of "A friend of my sister's cousin's brother's friend heard a rumor that.."

I think it’s the contrary: get out in front of this mess and prove that you weren’t part of the bad decisions. It’s gotta be frustrating working for that guy.

The exit was pretty sudden.

Too strange .
Sour Grapes from

bitter

ex employee Liz who was fired because his hiring her

tipped off his supporters he has sold out to the DC lib Rhino establishment.

Liz Mair is a far left pro abortion, pro gay marriage, anti gun owner , pro common core nut job.

By the way , it appears Liz now works for Carly another phony Lib Rhino.
Walker also made huge mistakes when hired RNC smear

merchant Brad Dayspring and the Ex Romney DC insider campaign staff but wanted to sell himself as an outsider !
The Koch Brothers and Adelson are now banking on their new Puppets ;Carly the Crook and Amnesty boy Rubio

****************************************************************************************************

Au Contraire, I think she’ll get PLENTY of work. Based upon her tweets, Walker should have KEPT HER and gotten rid of (or never have hired) the RINO staffers who apparently forced her out.

Liz Mair is the worst of the DC consultant trash.
A far left wing

crackpot that he fired when her record was made public.

Just run a search on her.
Salon loves her !
