The Washington Post had a story earlier today about the growing disarray in the Scott Walker campaign. There is mounting anxiety among Scott Walker donors about the direction of his campaign and increasing fears that it is running low on cash, leading to a growing consensus among some of the Wisconsin governors biggest financial backers that he needs to make a dramatic change. Most of the ire is directed at campaign manager Rick Wiley, who Walker supporters believe expanded the staff too quickly and has failed to calibrate spending during the summer fundraising season. A recent count put the number of full-time staff at around 90, and there have been no cutbacks in salaries, as there were earlier this summer in former Florida governor Jeb Bushs campaign.
There is a substantial amount of chatter that he needs to go, said one major Walker fundraiser, who requested anonymity to discuss private conversations. People are worried.
Walker aides, who declined to comment on the record, dismissed the idea of a management shake-up.Right now there is a rumor circulating in political circles that Scott Walker has already dumped long-time RNC apparatchik, Rick Wiley, from his position as campaign manager and a lot more turmoil is on the horizon. Under Wiley, the Walker campaign has burned through cash and goodwill like there was no tomorrow. It is probably too late for this to make much of a difference to Walkers campaign, putting this decision in the running to win the too-little-too-late award.

He is in my opinion a superior choice to Rubio, Bush or Christie. He has accomplished something and has not embraced the arrival of 40-60M more immigrants through chain immigration.
I mentioned you in this thread.
this is the WaPo article I think

I haven’t searched yet for Cruz news
I sad to say that Walker is on his way out as a candidate. It appears he had only a local appeal.
Walker seems a reasonable and conservative guy.
But he ain’t gonna get the nomination.
He can do the cause better now by backing whoever he thinks can carry the flag of conservatism best.
I sure hope so. LOL
Yes. He was initially my favorite candidate. But he looks too rehearsed sold out. Not ready for prime-time.
That explains her husband’s dislike of The Donald.
Hubbard said he likes what he is hearing from Walker and he doesn’t understand why his pitch “doesn’t turn people on.”
“I think Walker he says all the right things,” he said, but “something’s missing in the demeanor.”
from the WaPo article
I guess we don’t need an ‘apprentice’ running for President.
Good one.
I don't care who you are, that funny right here.
I like Walker. Until last year he was my governor, and I voted for him in three elections. He's done a great job as governor, in spite of incessant bitching and complaining on the left. Unfortunately, he's not been steady on the campaign trail. He's young and still has time. I hope he drops out and throws his support to Cruz or Trump. 2016 is not going to be his year in presidential politics.
Walker faded to black last night. He’s toast. I look for him to be around 1%-2% in polling next week.
I started out as a Walker fan, would still happily vote for him in the general election but he doesn’t seem to be going anywhere in the polls. Trump has sucked all the air out of the room. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing because by doing it, he has stopped JEB dead in his tracks.
Yes, there were contact lenses when JFK ran for President. Several of my sorority sisters had them, and that was before JFK. 1956 era.
Rumors flying about Walker’s campaign staff.
FReep mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
I like Walker but personally I think both Walker and Christy need to continue trying to fix their States.
NJ won’t be in play but we will need WI in 2016.
Walker is this years Pawlenty. He might have already been gone if we had had an Ames straw poll
Glad he did that. Too bad he is not polling higher. I like him and Jindal.
I agree. The good news is, we found out while the damage was limited to his campaign, not the general election. A candidate's choice of advisors and confidantes speaks straight to his judgment. We got a sneak preview into how malleable he is, a sign of weaknesses in his own convictions and self-confidence--something he probably did not realize about himself. Who a candidate chooses to surround himself with, and how much he's going to listen to them is every bit as revealing as track record and policy statements.
Walker has time. The fact he realizes that he's not being well served and is taking action to remedy that is a plus. A true leader will learn from his mistakes, grow in discernment, and not make those same mistakes again. Whether Walker is that person remains to be seen. Down the road. Not this election year.
