After the GOP debate on Wednesday night, Ann Coulter sent out the following tweets. As left-leaning Israeli newspaper Haaretz noted:
Coulter, who has 660,000 Twitter followers, was reacting to the frequent mentions of Israel made by participants in the second televised Republican debate held Wednesday at the Ronald Reagan Library in California.
As to Coulter’s tweet at the top, the candidates were asked how the world would look different once Air Force One was parked in the hangar of their presidential library. (See debate transcript here.)
Coulter misrepresented the question in her tweet and then used it as an opportunity to bash candidates who included Israel in their answer. But more than bash candidates, she bashed Israel and Jews. And it was as if she were champing at the bit to do so.
I have never been a fan of Ann Coulter and have often wondered why she is such a darling of the right. She appears immature, haughty, obnoxious, full of herself, and self-conscious (enough with the hair gesture, Ann), and sometimes downright vile.

CNN reports that the first lady has denied an allegation that she once called one of her husbands political aides a 'F-ing Jew bastard,' a charge raised in the forthcoming book 'State of a Union: Inside the Complex Marriage of Bill and Hillary Clinton.' Author Jerry Oppenheimer, a former reporter for the National Enquirer, claims that Hillary Clinton slurred Paul Fray, an advisor during Clintons unsuccessful 1974 congressional run.
The language is offensive and intolerable. That said, she does call attention to the inability of many — most — on the so-called “right” to distinguish between the interests of Israel and those of the United States.
Two sourced eyewitnesses confirmed to Oppenheimer that they heard the verbal assault".
Did that about 10 yrs. ago. I used to like her and thought she was really good for the Repub. Party - but then she got really weird, hung out with too many liberals and thought (I guess) that she could change them. Well, we know how that turned out. And some of her choices for boy friends, well, that’s a story in itself. But Jew bashing, for the sake of outrage or to score political points (!) and then to complain that evangelicals are not being supported enough? Most evangelicals, or perhaps today I should say, most real Christians, love Israel and the Jewish people. We fear for the Jews and Israel and we also know that for those that hate them, it is not going to end well.
Ann should realize that tweeting on the internet is not thae same as sitting around that bigoted, elitist Connecticut dining table with her Dad.
I am under no illusions that state that a majority of American Jews will ever vote for Republicans. I support Israel because they are our strongest ally in that part of the world. They are the only people we can count on in the ME. And I support them because they are the penultimate underdog and deserve my support.
The context was with Dick Morris (former adviser to the Clintons) when Hillary called him an 'FJB' ('B' standing for the son of an unwed mother).
I suspect that this is what Coulter was trying to reference -- but it was too much of an inside joke/reference.
I completely disagree. Ann Coulter showed herself to be an anti-Semite by more than simply using the F word. Her whole tweet was a regurgitation of the anti-Semitic idea that the only reason that Conservatives support Israel is to pander to the Jews. That she would get so angry about Cruzs excellent closing argument where he mentioned that he would move the embassy to Jerusalem shows that she is no conservative.
Except that Coulter herself is not offering that same defense.
Sorry, not seeing anti-semitism in her background.
Except that Coulter herself is not offering that same defense.
I assumed it might have been true, being that the person brought it up. I personally don't know.
She must have been. Why else would she say something like that. I’m really embarrassed for her. That was terrible, no?
Maybe she just needs to A) come out of the closet, B) seek substance abuse counselling, and C) consider her next career.
I dismiss any excuses, justifications or clever interpretations of this vile and anti-Semitic comment from Ann Coulter. Even if she believes she is smarter and more sly than anyone else who ever used a twitter feed, she ought to know that such a comment would only arouse and encourage those who truly DO hate Israel and all of God’s people.
Not long after 9/11/01, Ann Coulter made the comment that we should “invade Muslim countries, and convert them all to Christianity”, has she somehow forgotten that Jesus Christ Himself is a Jew?
Would she be willing to face Him at any given moment and refer to *HIM* as a “f—kin’ Jew”?!?
This is (or should be) the end of her journalistic/commentating/pontificating career.
Where people tend to live for cultural reasons probably makes a bigger difference than pure religious affiliation. There were states where Catholic splits went 70% Romney and states where they went 70% Obama. There were some states where the Catholics actually beat Protestants as far as r-votes by wide margins, at least as far as exit polling in 2012 can tell. Obama actually lost Catholics by 100+ electoral votes, as far as the states that did exit polling for Catholics. CA is a big reason why 50-52% of self identified Catholics exit polled voted for pres. O, which is terrible enough.
Jews tend to live in urban areas, and I doubt any group that did that with as high as frequency as Jews would vote any differently. But you could probably take out every Jewish vote and it wouldn’t make a difference except maybe some local elections.
Freegards
As well as Dick Morris who corroborated- unless he is one of the sources already cited.
Morris is Jewish.
Here’s my .02. The big meme being started right now is that ‘Trump supporters are racists’. Glenn Beck has been saying it as well. He gave her pretty much a pass this morning about her comments. I suspect Beck and Coulter (by appearing to be bigoted and ‘a Trump supporter’) are on the GOPe payroll. JMO.
Why do so many Jews love Obama? Good question. Same for the majority of Catholics who also went for him. It makes no sense. Even the 42% of protestants who vote for him mystify me. He is an anathema to every religion I know of except islam.
Maybe a large amount of JEWS, CATHOLICS and PROTESTANTS are not religious at all.. maybe atheists and agnostics..
OR WORSE... have found their “JUDAS MOMENT” and identify as such just for the networking gambit.. it provides..
You know as religious as John McLaim or Teddy Kennedy.. OR as holy as Barack O’bama..
