California Assembly approves right-to-die legislation (doctor assisted suicide)

The state Assembly on Wednesday approved a measure that would allow California physicians to prescribe life-ending drugs to terminally ill patients, sending the proposal to the Senate, which had previously approved a similar bill.

Modeled on a law in Oregon, the measure by Assemblywoman Susan Talamantes Eggman (D-Stockton) sparked an emotional debate, with many Republicans saying that it is immoral to assist in a suicide, but with supporters arguing that terminally ill Californians should have a choice to die peacefully without pain.

Opponents of the bill, including the Catholic Church and advocates for the disabled, voiced concern that the legislation might result in those with disabilities being coerced to end their life prematurely.

It's not easy for libtards to play god ... I mean, it's OK to kill the terminally ill as long as they want it and feel no pain ... it's OK to kill people with disabilities as long as they want it and feel no pain ... it's OK to kill unborn babies cause they don't know if they want it and they can't cry out in pain ... it's not OK to execute murderers cause they don't want it and feel no pain ...

terminally ill patients can end their own lives at home without so much as one shred of publicity by taking extra pain pills....

but this is about publicity isn't it?.....

and its about forcing all of us to be heathens..

I won't participate...

not saying that I blame people for wanting a quick death, but why pull the public into it?.....

“You have the right die. If you do not choose to die, the decision to die will be made for you.” And if a Christian clerk refuses to OK your death permit, we’ll let him/her rot in jail (and hope they die).

Even without “right to die” they're already been euthanizing patients with advanced medical directive 'do not resuscitate' whether terminally ills or elderly once they're brought to hospital for the last time before we even heard the late Dr Kevorkian.

To help you make up your mind about assisted suicide, you get locked in a room with Nancy Pelosi on the big screen.

3 days should do it.

I could imagine them saying to someone “now, you don’t want to be a burden to your children, do you?” “It will be very peaceful and your worries will be over”

Much the same way they pressure women into aborting babies when they walk into a Planned Parenthood office.

Well that’s one way to save money on Obamacare so they can spend it on illegals.

I think all of the Assembly members who voted for this have a right to die. I’d like to see them exercise it and prove their commitment to their beliefs.

Wouldn’t work for me; I would just want to be let out of the room at the end of the 3 days, SO I COULD KILL EVERY ROTTEN, GODLESS, SON OF A B#TCH THAT PUT ME THERE.

I’m completely convinced that we’ll need to dust off Thaddeus Stevens’ 1867-68 Reconstruction Act to clean up the fascist state of California.
