We are witnessing before our very eyes, the last days of European civilization. The slow collapse of the Roman Empire began in 410, when a group of Germanic barbarians led by Alaric the Visigoth, attacked and looted the city of Rome. The collapse of the Roman Empire finally came in 476.
We are now seeing a new barbarian invasion of Europe, this time by third world barbarians. The communists who run the European Union want to invite all of the third world people into Europe, because third world people will vote for the "mainstream" communist political parties in Europe.
The greatest civilization that the world has ever seen, European Christian civilization, is coming to an end. What a tragedy!!! What a heart-breaking disaster!!!
Europe is in its final death throes. God will not save it.
It seems like its decline has taken a long time, but in historical terms, from its peak of world power before WWI to suicide by warfare, totalitarianism, materialism and secularism up to now has been barely 100 years.
Its the blink of an eye in human history, and literally nothing in God’s time.
After that, they'll just pick scraps off the carcass. Whatever "wealth" or abundance is left, they'll loot it. They'll pass laws and edicts in an attempt to "stop the bleeding," but it'll just be a matter of time.
I know popular mass democracy has been a colossal failure.
Our Founding Fathers were dead set against it.
That’s why they created a limited government constitutional republic.
They set up the Electoral College to elect the POTUS.
They limited voting in federal elections only to property owners.
They set up the US Senate to be chosen by the state legislatures.
I now see the wisdom of that model.
And yes I agree, it will be difficult if not impossible to put the genie back into the bottle.
A European turn to Christianity will only save them if European Christianity returns to Christianity first. What Church is defending “Europe?” None that I’m aware of. Pope Lenin wants to welcome the invaders as much as Chancellor Merkel.
But sadly, I believe none of this will happen. The Europeans lack the moral and spiritual will to defend themselves. The drive and energy that made European civilization the greatest in the world was seriously diminished by World War 1. Given two generations of peace, it would have recovered, but didn’t get the chance. World War 2 extinguished the flame; Europe has been culturally and morally dead ever since.
It’s only now that the carrion-eaters are getting around to feasting on the corpse.
Completely agree. "Turning the other cheek" will enslave you at best, and will allow the complete and utter extermination of Christians at its worst. Christianity won't even be a footnote when the Islamic historians write their history books.

And in addition, look no further than the leadership of the dominant Church in Europe.
Pope Che utterly detests free market capitalism and is on record as calling it the dung of the devil.
So the Church is enabling and encouraging Europe’s descent into hell. As a Catholic myself, I must say it for it is the truth.
Break the bottle. Slay the genie and all who attend it. Start over, perhaps a little wiser.
Further, it is ironic.
Karl Marx once called religion the opiate of the masses.
Now these days, organized religion is the biggest champion of “social justice” i.e. Marxism.
I’m not Catholic but I had respect for the last two popes. I got no use for this new guy. He’s enabling the extermination of his own religion.

Which is why what Trump is doing is even more important. He can completely reverse this trend here too. Hopefully it won’t be too late.

The Romans had an illegal immigration problem.
So did the Canaanites.
Only in the west. Rome in the east endured another 1,000 years.
It is logical that Rome would collapse as it was way overstretched with its vast and indefensible frontiers. Towards the end, the Romans had to rely on mercenary (and unreliable) armies to defend their empire.
Many similarities with ancient Rome and our current state of affairs. Including a break down in moral values. A demographic collapse. The breakdown of the family. The rise of vast urban centers inhabited by vast shiftless masses demanding more and more free stuff from the government. Crushing high taxes and fewer people willing or able to pay them to support the shiftless urban masses.
And America.
All of the things you mentioned about Rome were true and are true about the United States. Rome was felled by the wave of immigrants pouring over the border who were not assimilated and owed no allegiance to Rome as a concept. Thus, the Empire become a hollow shell and was not really overthrown, it was discarded. We are doing the same.
But to go on a different direction, there is a climate side of this as well. Rome was at its height of power during the “Roman Warm Period,” which may have been even warmer during the Medieval Warm Period. During both eras, civilization flourished. The end of the Roman Warm Period coincided with the end of the Western Empire. What caused all of those Germanic tribes to pour over the Rhine and Danube frontiers into the Empire? It was pressure from other tribes on the move from the east, caused by a colder climate that pushed populations south and west in search of more habitable climates. The “Dark Ages” were dark because it was an inhospitable cold climate for several centuries until the Medieval Warm Period.
Just another take on the fraud of “Global Warming,” and the doomsayers who say its a bad thing. It’s not.
Sorry about the change of direction but since you brought up the fall of the Roman Empire, there is more to the story.

The climate changes with or without human activity. When I was growing up, we simply called climate change the weather.
