As soon as you say without compromise, what else can be meant.

We have got to get our minds off of methods and towards a Savior who invests with not some aloof set of rules but a personal power.

Sure....you can’t instill morality into a amoral society without breaking a few eggs..

I think that events like the 2007 financial disruption, in which we barely averted total disaster, will again occur, only this this time there will be little or no time to fend it off.

Much of what you have said will be needed to change hearts and minds, including a population reduction will occur without us having any part in it.

We have to think about how to regain control and put humpty dumpty back into a state of grace and civility. And yes, things would radically change. For the better I would hope.

Humans must be kept occupied 8-12 hours a day building things like shelter and growing food or making things. It is the idle time that is destroying our youth and our culture...IMO

All that leisure crap has to be reduced and welfare eliminated except for the sick and infirmed..

I think all this will come back to us like riding a bicycle..

No one is perfect except Jesus. We all know that.

Which is no excuse whatsoever for anyone to not keep the most basic obligations of their oath.

Amen. Just think that would happen if people took a sledgehammer to their TVs and used that time instead for prayer, and service in their community, and growing and making things, and civic action.

Haven't had a working set in our household for years. It's awesome.

I think we can all agree on that much...

“What does the oath mean” again such questions would come up.

Somehow a little court in DC is not going to be the best way to deal with it. As soon as that court goes loony so does the country’s governing structure.

Well I cut the cable a few years ago...I watch a few old movies and a few select modern shows on Netflix via streaming..

And yes, I have noticed that my blood pressure is way down, and I spend more time thinking, reading, etc....I also do what labor I can...but I have to wait for cooler temps..

Not if our elected legislative and executive officers were holding up their end of the constitutional bargain.

So who is the overseer army in charge of this discipline... this ain’t going to go anywhere good.

It has to be voluntary faith towards a Savior that brings virtues, otherwise you have something that will get just as corrupt as the stern old USSR did.

So again... fall back on civil disobedience... not the best thing either however much it is a safety valve.

That will happen within days to weeks after the last government check is cashed...and the banks close..

That WOULD be a sadly amusing scene to watch... amusing because of the monkeyshines resulting when the government is now a lot of empty words without even a dole to trust, sad because of the real tragedy.

As much as we would like to think we could rise on helium-minded derision, I don’t think anyone with a heart could see it without weeping.

Where our treasure is, so our heart will be also. It was not good when government subsumed charity through churches.

Oh, I am sure that not everyone will be virtuous...or evil

Without a lot of police or civil law, justice will be in the form of a gun for a time. The virtuous and the evil will then see who is the new landlord, I would think...

Well still you are aspiring to being able to conscript crowds by force.

The aspiration to do that doesn’t come from heaven, whatever else might.

While I generally am very empathetic to peoples problems and needs, I also find myself appreciating animals more than humans these days..

That’s great.

The cold will be here soon enough.

Got to hit the sack. Very early morning tomorrow.

Thanks for an interesting exchange.

I don't counsel civil disobedience. I advise civil obedience, to God, the Constitution, and all legitimate laws.

And who says who the legitimate laws are... the perennial question being how do we get around the right-in-his-own-eyes problem. Without creating a vulnerable pressure point in the body politic.
