“Judge: SF Pier 14 Shooting Victim Will Stand Trial on Murder Charge”
Strange headline.

I expect he will be convicted and sentence to 20 years in jail. After 5 years, he will be released on good behavior and automatically be considered a US Citizen with a Felony record. Sure he might have to wear an ankle bracelet or go through some house arrest period. But at least he’ll do the time for his crime, right?

I think it’s clear - they think he is the victim and Kate Steinle is the culprit.

The headline has been changed to read: "Judge: SF Pier 14 Shooting Suspect Will Stand Trial on Murder Charge"...
I guess someone caught the error...
Hard to believe that initially got past whatever they call an editor nowadays...
Freudian slip ?

How are they going to put the now-dead victim on trial for murder?
To: nickcarraway
How could it have been in doubt? Why did it take so long to get to a prelim? Can’t charge or try illegals for murder or SF just didn’t want to?

Well, there is ONE good thing to come out re: this story (and the jihadi in France)....I sure look under any/every public bench for some goodies to add to my ‘arsenal’
/try to bring some levity fail
Has anyone found out who/why the reporter was allowed access/coaching of the ‘suspect’ yet??
