She was in a Federal Courthouse to answer before a Federal Judge. Under orders from that Federal Judge she was taken into custody by US Marshals, within that Federal Courthouse, who have on-site jurisdiction.

The ONLY way for the Sheriff to have intervened on her behalf would have been to storm that Federal Courthouse and removed her from the custody of the US Marshals at gunpoint.

How do you think that would have worked out?

Nobody was forcing her to participate. She could have resigned.

When she accepted the job she was not required to act in ways that violated her religious or moral standards.

She is not refusing to perform the duties that were conditions of her original employment.

Why should she now be forced to violate her conscience or lose her job and be imprisioned because the government has changed the conditions of her employment in order to satisfy the wishes of militant homosexuals?

Oh she is going to get tons of love letters encouraging her to stay the course. She is most decidedly not alone. This could go viral in a huge way.

Am praying for her now. I know they will try to fine her outrageous amounts, and likely pile on additional charges, but she is acting as a true disciple of our Lord. May God continue to bless her.

The deputy clerks should shut down the Clerk’s Office until she is freed.

The Federal government has no business interfering in the administration of State duties.

If Kim Davis was wearing a burkha, that black robed SOB would not have jailed her.

The Governor and the County Sheriff need to uphold their oaths of office.

You are right. The judges are mad that anyone would dare question their “right” to make law.

So can’t the Gov call an emergency session?

The last thing the legislature wants to do is get in the middle of this. It's a no-win. If they impeach her they've caved to the left. If they don't impeach her, it's still between her and the federal judge.

I was reading an article ...

I question your reading comprehension. Pope John Paul II died. The College of Cardinals then elected Cardinal Ratzinger pope, who became Benedict XVI. Benedict then resigned SEVERAL years later.

Mixing them up is just wrong.

Complicated situation because she is an elected official. She could resign, otherwise the legislature has to vote to impeach her. I have no idea of that outcome.

I think she should live with the law of the land which unfortunately the SCROTUS got WRONG. However, she is a hero who is taking a bold stand for her beliefs. God wants her to serve as a reminder of what is happening to Amerika. God bless her.

I’m sure the judge knew about the wedding cake fiasco and does not want scumbag Americans helping this lady out.

I believe that's what he said in his order. That if he fined her then there was no way of stopping others from paying the fines for her. So he ordered her jailed.

I understand your point but I’m talking Constitutionally.

We must restore right thinking about the law.

They going to keep her there?

How about a cordon around the courthouse?

Exactly, firing would at least have a defendable basis for them. Instead they have chosen insanity.

May God continue to bless her.

I'm sure He will. With book deals, talk show appearances and speaking engagements.

Needed two Federal Marshalls to cart her off?

Disgarceful. Orders direct from Obama.
