Team Jeb's newest strategy - push Ben Carson
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 8-30-15 | Sundance

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:49:02 PM PDT by RKBA Democrat

The GOPe Road Map is contingent upon all 10 candidates that are part of Team Jeb remaining in the race until various points within the primary. Nine of the candidates are party insiders recruited to act as early primary state splitters (Gilmore -VA, Pataki -NY, Graham -SC, Perry -TX, Kasich -OH, Rubio -FL, Huckabee -AR, Fiorina and Christie).

GOP candidates mashup

This allows the Road Map to succeed with 15 to 20% support for Jeb – depending on primary state location. However, when the plan was constructed it’s obvious they never anticipated a Donald Trump candidacy.

The original plan was created to defeat Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Scott Walker (Donald Trump was never factored into the strategy). Current polling shows their strategy would be factually successful were it not for Donald Trump.

As a consequence removal of Trump was/is a priority; but everything they’ve tried to take Trump down has failed – and Jeb’s polling numbers (around 10% or lower) are now nearing the point of no return.

As much as the RNC/GOPe would like to take Trump out, it is now obvious from within the GOPe party apparatus, via their establishment media network, they are increasingly recognizing they just can’t take him down.

Ben carsonAs an outcome of accepting this reality, it appears a new plan is in the works to promote an alternative and attempt to split Trump’s coalition. The most obvious candidate to do this is Ben Carson (next would be Carly Fiorina).

There are numerous signals now becoming visible that Team Jeb (RNC/GOPe) is working to talk up Carson.

Dana Perino, a die-hard Bush loyalist, has been working this angle for several weeks. Fox news host Megyn Kelly has also been working diligently to promote Carson as a kinder, gentler and more palatable, ie. less vulgarian, option.

Watch the reports and the news cycles closely in the lead up to the next debate September 16th and we will most likely see strong signals of this strategy. The promotion of Carson will specifically target Trump supporters – it’s doubtful the strategy could work, but depending on the primary state it might be enough to pull Trump down enough to stop the current momentum.

Right — whoever is pushing at Trump must be a plant promoted by Little Jebbie. OK, whatever.

Bush’s primary voters are cross over Dems.
Unless Hillary can somehow redeem herself, Bush is toast.
The Dems will have to vote in their own primaries.

IMO Carson is being made the patsy. Since he’s Black, any attacks against him would be construed as racist.

I was skeptical when I saw this headline but the evidence is overwhelming. The GOPe is definitely pushing Carson as a spoiler for Trump in the primary.

What no one has said yet is that they probably want to goad Trump into attacking Carson like he has Jeb and Rand, and are hoping he miscalculates and hurts himself by attacking a “nice guy” candidate. Trump has said in speeches Carson is too nice to attack, but he also said he might have to reconsider if he gets close to him in the polls.

If they get Trump and Carson fighting, then they pull each other down and the RINOs can rise. Of course Cruz may rise as well, but they’ve long been preparing to take him down and expected it.

I wondered who was pushing Carson to make him ‘poll so well’ (lol) in Iowa.

Also, if Carson recognizes this and gets good advice — and a nudge from Trump (”How’d you like a Cabinet position?”) — he might do the right thing and drop out.

Maybe theyre hoping black people will turn on Trump if he attacks Carson”

Just listened to the LSM clip of a white woman saying “He is saying the same things as Trump but in a much kinder way”. Just pure BS. Yes his style is the polar opposite but they are not saying the same things. Democrat Blacks won’t accuse him of leaving the plantation by becoming a Republican because of BO. If this ploy by Democrats to push Carson’s ratings doesn’t work, then they’ll start pushing Fiorina.

I work with doctors all the time and know first hand that they know zip about running a business, particularly when they’ve always received the same amount on their paycheck from a non-profit, never had to worry about generating revenue or paying the bills.

Carson seems like a nice guy but nice guy’s finish last.

Not Carson, not any of the others can hold a candle to what Trump is doing. He is so far out of the mold its just amazing. Thus I never want to go back to the way things were.

"George Will ever so slightly pushed Ben Carson on Fox News Sunday:"

Special Report's Hayes and Krauthammer positively gushing over Carson. Mara Liasson going off script and points out Trumps likability numbers were significantly up too.

Carson is not pro-gun control.
He has commented many times on the 2nd Amendment not being tampered with.
He is no more anti-gun than Trump is.

Everything is a conspiracy by Jeb. None of these people are running for President because they want to be President, it’s just to help Jeb somehow.

Gilmore and Pataki are non entities who likely won’t even be on their state’s ballots cause they’ll be out by then.

Kasich is taking votes directly FROM Bush and is clearly the favorite of the anti-Bush RINOs, of which there are plenty and he could easily supplant Bush as the RINO frontrunner.

Graham is clearly a self-deluded nutcase and he is taking votes from directly from Bush in SC.

Rubio, who is giving up his Senate seat to run, is costing Bush votes in Florida, no one makes less sense as a Bush stalking horse than someone from his own state.

Fiornia is running for VP.

Fat Boy Christie is an egomaniac who acted like he was the nominee during his speech at the last convention and then sabotaged Romney (kissing Obama’s ring RE hurricane relief) SO he could run this time

Sorry, author is full of it on that count. Bush would love it if all of those candidates dropped out now.

As for Carson, I don’t think he’s the best qualified for the job and he’s shown ignorance on gun issues. But I like and trust him a lot more than I do Trump and I’d vote for him before I’d vote for Trump.

This is quite right except for the idea that they were trying to block Walker. Walker was supposed to be the “conservative alternative” left standing against Bush. If he somehow won, that was okay, because he’s a GOPe property as well.

Carson’s base in Iowa is bible thumping evangelicals serving as useful idiots. Carson has spent 6 of his 10 million in that race.

He is being pushed in order to stop “Trumpmentum”.

This was done before with the same useful idiots with a Huckabee challenge.

The real enemy in this primary is the “e”, to stop the “e” you literally have to deny them their vote splitting strategy. IOW no to carson.

According to the Trumpster crowd, the “GOPe” is undertaking a devious, cunning, and skillful campaign to knock Trump out.

Yet according to these same Trumpeters, the “GOPe” is the most inept, stupid and craven bunch that ever roamed the planet.

Maybe Hillary’s claim of a VRWC is true! It’s the “GOPe” by another name!

Seriously, if Trump fails or prevails, it will be at his own hands.

Question: Once the field is whittled down to a handful, where do you see the support of the weaker ones going? I don’t see it going to Trump.

It is no different than jbush cutting a deal with hclinton to ensure they are the final two standing. BTW notice how jbush says nothing about the emails?

I have noticed how the blond fox info reader ladies are being catty trying to NOT TALK about trump and build up jbush and anybody but trump.

It is a very southern style of saying “bless her heart, [insert insult here]” or a congressman saying “my esteemed colleague [insert insulting remark]”

Politics is a blood sport. Using vote splitters is a good tactic. Supporting a candidate that does not hurt you but does take votes from your main opposition is smart.

Trump is pushing to drain jbush’s bank account.
