With two killed in D.C. Friday night, homicide tally matches all of 2014’s

Despite a show of police force designed to curb a surge in violence, the nation’s capital reached a disturbing milestone Friday night when a rash of gunfire pushed this year’s homicide count to 105 — already equaling 2014’s total.

Two men died and eight people were wounded overnight, even as hundreds of police officers flooded Washington’s streets in an “all hands on deck” strategy meant to make this rattled city feel safer. Amid Twitter alerts about the spate of seven shootings, D.C. police were also posting photos of illegal guns they had seized. On Saturday, they announced that they had recovered nine weapons and made the same number of arrests.

The onslaught began just one day after Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) detailed her $15 million “Safer, Stronger DC” response to the spike in killings. Protesters angry about how the city has handled the rise in crime disrupted her announcement with chants of “Black lives matter!”

During the most serious incident Friday night, in Southeast Washington, witnesses estimated that at least 15 shots were fired.

Omoni Johnson, 26, who lived in Northeast, died about 11:45 p.m., police said. Shaheed James, 21, who lived in Clinton, Md., was taken to a hospital, where he also died. A third man, whom police have not identified, was wounded.

“Black Lives Matter” is becoming our internal terrorist organization, creating the groundwork for random and unrestrained destruction and murder.

You’ve got two problems. “Blacks Lives Matter” by itself is only half the issue. The cops and their attitude problem (caused by recruiting marginal guys to be cops over the past forty-odd years) are the remaining issue. The cops in this past year decided that they will just hang out and let nature occur, with robbery and thugism to prove their need to be vigilant and unquestioned.

DC can fix this in a matter of seven days....just let the guns laws free and allow honest people on the street to own and carry weapons...then watch twenty-odd thugs get shot down, and suddenly it’ll get quiet real quick. Once you let people know that riders on the Metro have weapons, and old guys sitting parks have weapons...it’ll be a different and respectful atmosphere.

Collateral damage in the elite’s struggle to turn us into a third-world country they can rule.

The evidence mounts that they don't appear to really think that “Black lives matter!” and certainly not that “All lives matter!”

See, that's actually bullshit since standards have always been pretty good and have only gotten even tougher as the years go by. Out of all the thousands upon thousands of arrests going on everyday, the few anecdotes in comparison to that of police misbehavior are extremely small.

Go walk into Metro Atlanta’s police department and announce a drug-test today for all members. See how quick some get sick and walk out.

Go look at lawsuits now hitting small towns throughout the US and ask them how their legal insurance costs are going. Go ask about the deductible for your town and how it’s affecting the necessity to raise taxes to cover cost....all due to incompetent cops and illegal arrests.

Blacklivesmatter is not about race. It is about criminals v law abiding citizens. Blacklivesmatter empowers criminals and you get more crime. Go figure.

I'm the son of a cop and have met many police officers. I don't know about where you're at, but the idea that these people are all or mostly drug addicts is silly. And considering how hard it is to even become a cop these days (you can go look at Cop forums and hear stories about people applying here and there and failing to get in each time despite having nearly perfect backgrounds), I highly doubt your claims of mass corruption.

If what you say is true, then cop violence on individuals should be happening daily and everywhere.

It isn't.

Go look at lawsuits now hitting small towns throughout the US and ask them how their legal insurance costs are going.

Or from guys like Freddy Gray who pummel themselves in order to create law suits. Luckily he pummeled himself a little too hard and saved Baltimore or where ever some money.

Omoni Johnson, 26

I wonder if his mother meant to name him "Armani?"

"posting photos of illegal guns they had seized."

Now maybe they'll build a wall around D.C. to keep the illegals out. Where are these pictures so that we can recognize them and report their whereabouts to the authorities.

If you dig into regional news from this weekend....someone wrote up a piece on two towns in the northeast that had to pay out $60k on one guy and $200k on a second guy...both were bad cop episodes. No one says much over the deductible for each town but it’s bound to be a minimum of half-a-million...so this cash comes straight out of the city’s pot of money. My guess is that most towns won’t come up in the open press and admit they had to pay people off and it’s strictly upon the press to dig into court action or city hall rumors to find out that people got paid off.

The sad fact is that they will all come up and say new bond episodes or new property taxes will be necessary....never letting the public know that they’ve paid out cash for bad-cops.

You only get to know....what they want you to know, or they accidentally admit to.

So in this environment where cops are hated and decried as "racists" by the left, you think that all the evidence that supports massive police brutality/bad cop scenarios is being covered up?
