200 US Generals, Admirals and others Just Stepped Up to Obama
Freedom Outpost ^ | 8/28/2015 | Tim Brown

Posted on 08/29/2015 12:55:10 PM PDT by HomerBohn

In an unprecedented move, 200 retired US generals, admirals and other political officials just took a stand against the unconstitutional policies of the Obama administration concerning his nuke deal with Islamic Iran.

A letter was received by Congress from 200 signatories, who served under Democratic and Republican administrations.

The Washington Post reports:

The letter is the latest in a blizzard of missives petitioning Congress either to support or oppose the agreement with Iran, which would lift sanctions if Iran pared back its nuclear program. Letters have come from ad hoc groupings of rabbis, nuclear scientists, arms-control and nonproliferation experts — and now, retired senior military officers, many of whom have worked in the White House during various administrations dating to the 1980s.

The letter, addressed to Republican and Democratic leaders in the Senate and the House, is a response to one sent last week by three dozen retired senior military officers who support the nuclear deal.

"The agreement will enable Iran to become far more dangerous, render the Mideast still more unstable and introduce new threats to American interests as well as our allies," the letter states.

The letter was initiated by retired Admiral Leon A. "Bud" Edney after reading other retired officers who supported the agreement. Thirty-six retired US generals had previously signed a letter in which they supported the Obama / Iran deal.

"I looked at the letter they published, and thought it was very weak," Edney said. "I just don't agree with it."

Among those signing the letter are Lt. Gen. William G. "Jerry" Boykin, Vice Adm. John Poindexter and retired Maj. Gen. Richard Secord.

The Times of Israel adds the words of retired vice commander of US Air Forces in Europe, Thomas McInerney:

"What I don't like about this is the number one leading radical Islamic group in the world is the Iranians," McInerney said.

"They are purveyors of radical Islam throughout the region and throughout the world. And we are going to enable them to get nuclear weapons. Why would we do that?" he asked.

While Congress is set to vote on the deal next month, they have put forth unconstitutional legislation concerning Obama's Iran deal that would require two-thirds vote to nullify the deal. That legislation is null and void as far as the Constitution is concerned, as they had no authority to issue such legislation. In order for such a treaty to be valid, the Senate is to advise such negotiations between the president and a foreign entity and then they are to approve (not strike down) the treaty with two-thrids majority.

According to Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the US Constitution, the President,

"… SHALL HAVE POWER, BY AND WITH THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE, TO MAKE TREATIES, PROVIDED TWO-THIRDS OF THE SENATORS PRESENT CONCUR…"

Additionally, Article VI, Clause 2 states,

"THIS CONSTITUTION, AND THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES WHICH SHALL BE MADE IN PURSUANCE THEREOF; AND ALL TREATIES MADE, OR WHICH SHALL BE MADE, under the Authority of the United States,SHALL BE THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND; AND THE JUDGES IN EVERY STATE SHALL BE BOUND THEREBY, ANY THING IN THE CONSTITUTION OR LAWS OF ANY STATE TO THE CONTRARY NOTWITHSTANDING. [EMPHASIS ADDED]"

This deal, my fellow countrymen, is not just the work of the domestic enemy Barack Hussein Obama, but of multiple traitors to the people and Constitution of the united States in Congress who passed the legislation that sought to alter the constitution in an unconstitutional manner.

What would you do if you saw on CNN the tanks rolling up to the White House as a group of Generals took over as a Junta until the elections in 2016. Obama and Biden and Hillary arrested and the White House investigated for treason? Treaty with Iran rendered Nul and Void.

WORTHLESS Effort.. UNLESS.. they sign up with Ted Cruz...

Ted Cruz voted in FAVOR of the Corker Bill. He can't get away from this huge mistake. Now he's acting all alarmed about this deal, but he helped make it possible. He should have stood with Sen. Tom Cotton saying this should come under the Constitution's Treaty Provision.

Cruz blew it on this one. Big Time.

And most of those retired Admirals and Generals retired long before this Iran deal was even hinted at.

“Donald Trump just MAY NOT the person you think he is..”

That might be true, but I am wiling to give him the opportunity to show me who he is, are you? Or have you already made up your mind before the facts are in? And besides Cruz, which one of these limp dicks will you trust ( should a miracle occur and one of them were to be elected) to do anything but what their donors want? I am almost to the point where I’d buy a benevolent dictator (like Lee Kuan Yu of Singapore). We could use a bunch of folks being caned here for starters.

When has a general ever initiated a coup d’état?

FEW generals or admirals are SMART enough to perform a Coup D’etat..

Any flag officer was or is a DEMOCRAT is an ENEMY..
and no doubt some republicans too..

but any flag officer not smart enough to see what the democrats have BEEN UP TO for a hundred years...

IS A MORON.................... or a traitor..
Make (( ME )) the JAG officer and there would HELL to pay.. literally..

They know “THE TRUTH” and do not care..as corrupt as Harry Reid..

This FRmail arrived earlier today:

From xxx | 08/29/2015 2:05:25 PM PDT

Donald Trump is not the person people should be afraid of... it is Sen. Ted Cruz who people should be scared to death of having in our Government’s administration.

Ted Cruz is a supporter of NAFTA, the North American Union, NO borders between Canada, the US, and Mexico, and of course, supports amnesty. - This is exactly what Heidi Cruz specializes in at CFR where she works for GoldmanSachs.

In other words, the Canadian-born Cruz is anti-U.S. sovereignty. ... His being attacked by the GOPe is fakery.

Vette.. I already know who he is.. by who he HAS been..

THIS particular election is not the time for navel gazing on the worth of a well known, well published, liberal..

Maybe he has moved a bit to the “right” as they say..
BUT THIS election is absolutely NOT the one to take chances..
LET him PROVE who he is “becoming” by more careful positions of SERIOUS AUTHORITY...

Allowing; Him Jumping right up to President is fool-hardy if not STUPID..
UNLESS you be a RINO or a Democrat..

Trump is no better than ROMNEY if indeed he is THAT GOOD(bad)..

** Romney (you know) the inventor of Obama-Care?.. that Romney.
People are Soo desperate for LOGIC.. approving of Trump is like trying to 16 on the Roulette.. Jeese..

Sidebar; Cruz is TESTED, PROVEN, CONFIRMED... rock solid..
we need Trump like another hole in our heads..

THAT IS; if massive voter fraud doesn’t elect HELLary NO matter what “WE” do.. in most States, territorys and Ghettos..

Seven years of the freak's presidency and I cannot believe people still don't get that Obama wants a nuclear Iran and to weaken America.

The generals don't get it. Obama is not on your team.

You are speaking to both a Cruz supporter and donor in me. For my own integrity, I force myself to admit his errors. The Corker Bill, The TPA vote, and the HIB Visa over-allowance....they are Cruz’s errors.

It is not necessarily the number but the seriousness of each that will determine the final outcome to me.

Trump has a number of them.

Bush has a number, but “dynasty” is supremely egregious for me, and I will not go there. The republicans should be ashamed of themselves for attempting to force another member of the same ruling family on us. It shows their contempt for us. (Same with Hillary for the democrats.)

In any case, I find it better to admit a candidate’s errors. There is no good reason to have voted for the Corker bill. None.

A pregnant U.S. citizen better not accompany her husband on overseas work if she has hopes for her child to be president of the United States. That’s what happened in Cruz’ case. No court of law would hold that view.

Picking the, least bad, of two bad options is not an error..

It’s NOT AND ERROR.. it’s a TACTIC.

Voting, NO, on a bill it’s obvious you know will pass brings up other Tactics.. like adding riders and amendments.. to weaken “IT”..

I read that because Jugears was not calling this monster a
“treaty” , he was going ahead with it without presenting it to congress at all.

Corker, I think trying to avoid that happening, came up with a bill that said in spite of its not being a treaty, Mr. O still needed to involve congress. The SOB won by unintended consequences.
