So this brings me to my question. Knowing that Trump is apolitical, what difference does it make what party affiliation he chose.
Would you still support Donald Trump if he was running as a Democrat?

Unlike the Democrats, Mr. Trump
does not support the UN, slavery, rape, crucifixion,
Iran, N. Korea, genocide, Quartering of infectious
diseases, and open borders.

As long as he was still anti-establishment and not a collectivist, YES.

a democrat running to repeal Obamacare, seal the border, toss out the illegals, massively increase the national defense and put boots on the ground to destroy Isis?.. yeah I’d vote that guy if he ran on the kick Washington’s ass party
To: Responsibility2nd
I would certainly support him for the nomination. The elected Dems in Congress would go nuts! It also would be nice to have something resem ling love of country in both parties.

The issues Trump is espousing isn’t part of the democrat platform. If he was a Reagan Democrat, I suppose I could, but not a Daschle, Pelousey, Reid, Obama, Democrat

The support for Trump is weird. I can see the LIV Fox news Republicans liking his style, but I thought Freepers were more sophisticated.

It seems unfathomable that anyone as forthright and outspoken as Trump could run as a Democrat. If Trump were a Democrat he would sound more like Jeb Bush.

Yes. I gave up voting based on party affiliation. Now I vote based on ideology and policy.
To: Responsibility2nd
Of course! Do you think anyone supports him JUST because he has an R after his name?

I put the interest of my State, Ohio, and the interests of the United States, a Federal Union of States, in which we are a participant, ahead of any political party. So I would not hesitate, if someone taking the same positions in 2016, as Donald Trump & Ted Cruz are taking today, somehow won the Democratic nomination in 2016, in supporting such person, unless the Republican candidate was just as strong or stronger in those same positions.
It is about preserving American values, culture & multi-generational achievements, that this is all about. Not just vindicating a political Party.

If someone other than Cruz is running against him, I’d consider it.

I asked this question of one Trump supporter:
Q. If Anthony Weiner were to run and was saying all that Trump is saying, would you vote for him?
A. "Were Anthony Weiner to 'suddenly' become conservative and say these things I would".
Suddenly become conservative?!
They actually believe that someone can "suddenly become conservative" so I believe they would vote democRAT is the democRAT were saying all the right things.

Trump running as a Democrat on the plank of “Build the wall and deport the illegals” gets about 1% of the Democrat vote and laughed off the Left’s political stage.
