You’re asking if a Democrat supported building a wall, securing our borders, deporting illegals, shrinking government and a strong military, would I vote for him/her?

Bwahahahahahah!

The single MOST STUPID question EVER asked on FreeRepublic!

The single MOST STUPID question EVER asked on FreeRepublic!

_______________

There are no stupid questions. Only stupid answers. Like yours. What’s the matter? Too afraid to think of an answer?

I agree with everything you said, which of course is why I have real concerns about him. His campaign does share a lot of similarities with an infamous German leader, in playing up to the sentiments many Americans now harbor.

So, does the fact that Ted Cruz is cozying up to him give you pause to wonder about Ted Cruz? You are right to sound the alarms, unfortunately it seems to make him stronger in the polls. Notice though that Jeb is sliding almost as fast as Hillary is? So he has been helpful in that respect.

We live in interesting times my friend. My main objective right now is to get right with God, as he is our only true savior. All of the rest, while important, pales in comparison.

What's to say if he were running as a Democrat, and was leading heavy in the polls, that many more would not join in the race as the Democrat contender? Just because he is leading the Republican side does not mean that would necessarily carry over had he announced as a Democrat contender. Though I suspect he would be enjoying the lead over there as well, as it is his message, not him that is resonating with the people who are supporting his bid.

We live in interesting times for sure.

What did Cruz's numbers do after the last debate? I thought they went down or remained flat.

They rose immediately thereafter and then dropped. He didn't get much time in that debate and less thereafter.

Thinking the general public will buy into that, is like thinking an avid baseball fan is going to be really in tune with what's going on at his second Hockey game.

Many of the disinterested are followers. Feel good blather like Trump's is just their speed. It takes a while before they hear anybody tell them how empty it is because of all the contradictions. Give it time.

This I want to address, because it employs a rhetorical fallacy unworthy of you:

I don't think I'm being out of line by stating that when you deny everything a man is saying can possibly be truth, you're setting a rather interesting standard.

There is a rather substantial difference between observing that anything a person says cannot be trusted as opposed to saying that everything that person says is false. Were it the latter, then inferring Mr. Trump's intentions would be simpler, as it is in the case of Xero.

So, does the fact that Ted Cruz is cozying up to him give you pause to wonder about Ted Cruz?

It's not a very popular thing right now to publicly oppose or criticize Donald Trump. Cruz knows this and has done well to avoid it. Also, Trump's stated political positions are nearly identical to that of Cruz, so he has no reason at this juncture to be critical. Cruz wants to win, though, so that may change.

You’re late to the thread. And you’re wrong.

Take a few and look at all the “yes” responses here.

“truly unelectable”?

Lots of FReepers would elect him.

Uh huh....with the data you provided in your question, lots of FReepers would elect him - ignoring who might be running as a Republican, etc..

That helps explain why we can't get it together - everyone in his own world and knowing that everyone else is wrong......just because.

BTW - some of the "Yes" answers appear to be tongue-in-cheek sarcasm or have other caveats attached. The "No way in Hell" answers outnumber the "Yeses" as do other comments.

But if you say I'm wrong for peeing on your parade, so be it - feel free to feel that way but it would be better if you could actually think it....

‘The single MOST STUPID question EVER asked on FreeRepublic!’

A lot of posters agreed with you. Intellectually it was on Megyn Kelly’s level. But it did serve to illustrate that most Cruz supporters have no earthly idea why Trump is doing well while their candidate is lagging. For that it was useful.
