What is Donald Trump?
Is he serious or is he some sort of show? Is he some asymmetrical weapon sent in by the Clinton's to disrupt the Republican Party?
He is certainly doing a good deed by tearing down the Republican Establishment and its anointed candidate, Jeb Bush.
His strong push on Amnesty has drawn fire from the GOPe and its affiliated media who have reacted to the backlash by sometimes backing off or in one case even joining him like Ann Coulter (a spy sent in by the GOPe???).
Trump has sucked away the attention and opinion poll ratings of all the other candidates and now that he's asking for campaign contributions, the money may be sucked away from the other candidates as well.
I support Ted Cruz but I admit his message can't match Trump's.
When I listen to Trump hearken to America's tradition of economic greatness and famous military leaders of the past like Patton and MacArthur I am reminded of the words of a British political leader who spoke in our country earlier this year.
United Kingdom Independence Party leader Nigel Farage told a sparse audience at the CPAC gathering that Republicans had better not 'forget the Reagan Democrats'.
I sense that Trump is resonating with folks like that folks like my father, who fits the "Reagan Democrat" description.
They remember a time when there were full time jobs in America that paid good wages and came with medical benefits.
Now they see a flood of lower paying part time jobs for their children and grandchildren. They see Obamacare driving up healthcare costs for the employed, so insurance companies and hospital groups can rake in money.
The under 30 hour jobs and the Cadillac Health Plan tax in Obamacare were designed to help big business cut and contain their health insurance costs just like a socialist single payer system would, but retaining the private health insurance concept.
"Barack Obama sold out working people in America"-who will step up to the plate to speak that truth.
The biggest offense to the Reagan Democrats is the flood of illegal immigrants and plans to legalize them with Amnesty. They are disgusted by the cheapening of the labor market hurting their children and grandchildren's future.
Over in the UK United Kingdom Independence Party leader Nigel Farage describes his country's political system as "corporatism", a collaboration of big banks, big business and big government against small business and individuals.
I support Ted Cruz but Ted had better wake up and start talking like I just did in this post or else he will be left behind as the Trump Tsunami engulfs him.
These large corporations from Number One Wal-Mart on down put themselves constantly on the side of political correctness and employ foreign nationals as corporate executives, tech workers and so on.
Its some 5 months till the first votes are taken.
Go Donald. :D
Just saying.
Too late. The GOPe/T trust train left the station in 2012 and again 2014.
They can’t have a better message than Trump’s. The rest of them all need cash from the Chamber of Commerce, and hence can’t possibly one-up his stances on immigration or trade deals.
Not a bad vanity, as vanities go, but please leave the ALL CAPS HEADLINE STUFF to Homer_J_Simpson and his WWII posts.
So you believe that only candidates endorsed by the DC uniparty should be allowed to win the US presidency?
He is certainly doing a good deed by tearing down the Republican Establishment and its anointed candidate, Jeb Bush
Well actually the biggest thing tearing down Jeb Bush is Jeb Bush. Trump or no Trump Bush was never going to win the Presidential election....
Too many of the Republican wannabes are spouting the same rhetoric used by the Boehners and McConnells — lower taxes, cut government spending, secure the border, yada yada yada.
The Boehners and McConnells represent a history of recent Republicanism: make promises to be conservative, then govern toward the left and maintain the status quo.
Most of the candidates just dust off the old Republican speeches. The ‘silent majority’ have determined they are not going to fall for the same-ole Republican crap. That is why The Donald is getting 2 to 3 times the polling. Trump may end up being a disappointment, but most voters know most of the other wannabes will turn out to be the same ole disappointments.
Trump is popular because of his immigration plan and most of the other candidates have voiced support for amnesty to appease the hispancis.
These candidates are cornered and have nowhere to go. They will spend the next few months squirming and will soon be gone.
The GOPe crowded the field with pro amnesty candidates to benefit Jeb but the whole thing blew up in their faces.
I just don’t trust Trump but fully accept he’s blowing the others out of the water.
I want to support Ted Cruz but the right message or dare I say it right policy isn’t there.
Among other things it would be about repealing Obamacare 100 percent but never replacing it with a substitute that helps the special interests including business in general by containing their healthcare costs like Obamacare does.
Walker and Cruz both want to replace Obamacare after they ‘100 percent repeal it’. That’s honestly a non starter with me now that I know the truth about Obamacare.
Yes true. Then we have Cruz’s support for free trade and no specifics for relief on the 40 mil IA’s that have enveloped us. Meanwhile Qatar Foundation is easily penetrating public schools, colleges and institutions. We are living in a surreal world.
They are all actors, reading from a script designed to secure outcomes that are inconsistent with middle class, liberty loving, traditional values Americans.
Teleprompters are tools of the deceivers.
Trump may not have every answer, he does however intend to do something. Like the 3 guys on the train in France said, “do something, don't just stand there”
Sounds like who you really want is Bush III.
That’s why I would be more than happy to see Trump run third-party. It would drive the final nail into the coffin of this useless and corrupt GOP.
Jeb Bush would finish 20 pts. behind in third. The GOP would become the Whigs.
We’d get Bernie Sanders or Liz Warren as President. After four years of that the Chamber of Commerce would come crawling on hands and knees, begging our forgiveness. Then we could set about the work of building a REAL Conservative Party.
Yep. The two things that drive me crazy about election analysis: 1) When ever was Jeb Bush electable? and 2) Isn’t anyone bothered that a former President will actually re-occupy the White House if his wife is elected?
Conservatives, Trump included, need to stop focussing on the DBM and the GOPe and start turning their sights on the Democrats.
The DBM is never going to like conservatives and the petty attacks on the just elevate their status and audience. Getting good conservative ideas out there will overshadow the GOP moderates.
¡Yeb! was never inteded to win the Presidency. His purpose was to block anyone from the GOP nomination who might shut down The Cheap Labor Express.
He was supposed to be this cycles Designated Loser, like Romney and McCain before him.
Random apostrophe disease. Sorry, I stopped reading right there.
