Pro-Trump Focus Group Make Frank Luntz’s Legs Wobble
Breitbart ^ | August 25, 2015 | John Nolte

Posted on 08/25/2015 6:01:08 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

After overseeing a focus group of 29 fervent Donald Trump supporters, Republican pollster and consultant Frank Luntz told a group of reporters that, “My legs are shaking.”

Although the Middle East is in chaos, our Southern border is in chaos, and our inner-cities are in chaos; although we are entering our seventh year of economic malaise as the national debt tops $18 trillion, the so-called Smart People in politics and media still can’t quite figure out why a wildly successful businessman promising change and to stick it to these same Smart People, is so danged popular.

Here’s the bottom line:

Frank Luntz staged a phony focus group on live television to undermine a populist candidate.

He discredited himself and will be forever accurately be labeled a fraud.

THE GOPe CHICKENS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST. People are fed up w/ the stupid GOP...they back-stabbed the very people who put them back in power in 2010 and 14. They did so at their peril. Now Trump will reap the rewards. More below.

The 2014 Midterm Dem Demolition Derby” and down-ticket
state wins have yet to be fully- mined, but this we know:

<><> REPUBLICANS WON STUNNING HISTORY-MAKING ELECTORAL VICTORIES

<><> midterms were a massive and awesome rejection of liberals;

<><> Southern Democrats control not a single governorship, US senator or legislative chamber,

<><> Democrat losses stretch from the Carolinas westward to Texas,

<><> 110 Of 140 Southern States election districts went Republican.

<><> GOP’s House majorities are so huge and solid NBC’s Chuck Todd says Dems can’t recapture losses until 2022.

<><> Some pundits say Republicans have a 100-year majority;

<><> when the next US Senate convenes, 30 lock-stepping Democrats who voted for Obamacare are gone.

<><> Ark and Ill (Clinton hometowns) have Repub governors-—important in a prez race b/c guvs control party machinery.

<><> Unprecedented MINN 6th Congressional district-—every single House and Senate district went Repub

<><> GOP now controls the MINN State House.

<><> Ohio’s historic GOP statehouse takeover (Gun Control is toast)

<><> Ohio’s Gov, Lt. Gov, AG, Secy of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer—all R-—Sup/Ct - 6 R/1 D

<><> Britt Hume sez: “latino vote is zilch”-—”over-50” is significant 30% voting segment.

<><> Republicans unified control: gov/legislature in 23 states (Ntl Conference of State Legislatures factoid).

<><> Repub governorships: Florida, Tx, Ill, Ohio, Mich, MD, Wisconsin, NC, GA, Mass.

<><> GOP holds every congressional seat in Arkansas; first time in 141 years...

<><> Environmentalists fogged out-—suffered huge losses.

<><> Gun Control Candidates blitzed.

<><> “War on Women” became a ntl joke.

<><> Clinton’s labeled politically useless-—most candidates they flacked lost.

<><> Montana, So/Dakota and West/VA Dems were forced to retire; no hope of getting re-elected,

<><> Arizona House recount race went Republican.

<><> AZ Republican McSally wins last open House seat (Dem Gaby Giffords seat),

<><> Repub McSally’s win gives GOP 5-4 advantage in AZ congressional delegation,

<><> Repubs hold 247 House seats (Dems 188), the largest GOP advantage since the Truman admin after WWII.

<><> 73 percent of LA’s white voters say told they “strongly disapproved” of the president.

<><> Republicans hold the largest House majority in 83 years.

<><> Republicans holds 68 of 98 state legislative chambers.

<><> 2015 Republican grip on state government has not been seen since the 1920s.

<><> Republicans hold or share control in nearly every state (7 states’ legislature and Governor are Dem-held).

<><> 12 states, including Missouri, Arizona, Arkansas, NC will push income tax cuts and fiscal reform.

<><> Illinois’ new Repub Governor’s top priority is reforming its nearly-bankrupt public pension system.

<><> Vermont Democrats allied w/ VT conservative Repubs to ward off voter backlash

<><> controversial and seemingly incompetent VT Democrat governor did not get the requisite votes to stay in office.

<><> VT poised to install Vermont’s first Republican governor in over four years

<><> Republicans now control two-thirds of the state legislatures.

The Republican wave did not end in November 2014. Later, Republicans expanded their majority in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in the 170th district. Expanding a legislative majority in a blood red state that twice voted for Barack Obama

Again on display we have the low information voters fawning over Trump. These voters can’t think past the headlines. Have any of them put any thought into Trump’s immigration plan? I don’t think so.

Trump claims that he is going to deport all of the illegal aliens. Each illegal alien is required to have a hearing and an appeal before being deported. The most people we have ever deported in a year has been 250,000 people. If no one else came across the boarder it would take 44 years to deport all the illegal aliens that are in the country at this time.

Part of Trump’s immigration plan is that he will deport all of the illegal aliens, but the good ones will be let back in (”There are many wonderful people and I would expedite bringing them back in the country”). How many of them meet Trump’s wonderful index? This part of his plan sounds an awful lot like amnesty to me. Rubio gets flamed for backing amnesty, but if Donald purposes amnesty its OK to the Trump low information voter. If Trump says it, it must be great.

Liz, did you hear Mark Steyn's rant on Rush yesterday? It's stuff we all knew, but he really put it down clearly.

We (including many here on FR and tons of Tweeting GOPe types) are apoplectic about "who is conservative enough." (Of course, this mainly means Trump). While we fight over "who'se conservative enough," the Left has almost pushed us off the field. As Steyn says we're fighting over a "pathetic patch of grass" on the one yard line.

We "conservatives" put in a GOP House. Nothing changed. We put in a GOP House and Senate. Nothing changed. With them, as Steyn noted, it's always an excuse. "Well, we have the House, but not the Senate." "Well, we have the House and Senate but not the Presidency." "Well, we have the House and Senate and Presidency, but not the Supreme Court." and on and on.

What people ARE getting with Trump is a man of action. We might not agree with every action he would take, but we darn sure would not hear excuses for why things "can't get done." I think the Wall is the clearest, most symbolic of all these actions. For 10 years we haven't built a damn wall. How tough is this really? It's funded.

While you are right that the 2010 and 2014 mid-terms were massive rejections of liberals and liberalism, the coming election will be a massive rejection of words and sentiments and ideology over actually accomplishing something.

-- Boehner is squandering a great chance for our nation. --

Boehner has a different vision for the nation, and in his mind, the vision he has creates a "great America."

He'd do all he could to undermine reduced immigration, dismantling of a federal government department, etc., because in his mind, those things make America great.

Yeah. Right. I’m a low information voter. LOL

I’ve never even SEEN you on this forum before, despite your 2001 sign-up. I’m a daily and very active participant here, and have written dozens of original editorials that I post first to FR.

To your ‘Establishment Republican’ talking point: Trump has a plan and a vision. The two items are distinct. The ‘vision’ is to send all illegals home. The ‘plan’ is to start enforcing the law and reducing the draw for illegals. The ‘vision’ is the goal, the ‘plan’ is the change in direction.

Everyone knows that it will take time and patience to send illegals back, but every journey starts with the first step.

So YES, Mister Arrogant Establishment Republican Liberal, We HAVE put thought into Trumps plan. And unlike yours, it WILL help America. So you can blow your arrogance out your.....nose.
