While innocently grilling some pork, Ted Cruz was ambushed by lesbian activist Ellen Page, who tried to shame him for not supporting homosexual marriage. But instead of Cruz being shamed, it was Page who was tongue-tied while Cruz turned the tables on her.
Page claimed that a florist who refused to serve a homosexual wedding was bigoted, but Cruz turned her attention to the Middle East, and asked her why liberals were "completely silent" about the execution of gays, and why Obama is turning over 100 billion dollars to Iran when they are hanging homosexuals. When Page claimed that Christians in Jamaica were discriminating against homosexuals, Cruz turned to her and essentially said, "Are you really equating a florist refusing to work a gay wedding with the execution of homosexuals by ISIS?" He added that it was not morally equivalent, and that "murder is murder is murder."
When Cruz was later asked about his conversation about "discrimination," Cruz corrected the questioner, saying the conversation was about religious liberty. He said that just as a Muslim imam could not be forced to marry a Christian couple in a Christian ceremony, Christian florists or bakers should not be required to participate in homosexual weddings that are against their religious beliefs.
This was a stunning performance, even more so considering that it was a surprise attack. Cruz was calm and cool and collected. He quickly turned the attack back on the attacker, making her look like a hypocrite for not caring about homosexuals executed in the Middle East. He turned a discussion about "discrimination" into one of religious liberty.
This is the kind of candidate we need: someone who is not just a conservative, but an articulate conservative, who can turn the tables on attackers and challenge assumptions of questions.

She’s a lesbo, but he rest of your comment likely applies.
Def..Canadian lesbo, LOL
Says another conspiracy theorist...
Then why can't he break the blockade?
Classic RINO line. If you don't notice that the mediots use the same tag lines and memes showing that they do talk to each other, you have been asleep.
Because .. although he doesn’t yell and holler or scream, he constantly exposes the fallacy of the DemocRATS idiocy.
However, they also hate him because he went to Princeton and Harvard (which is not allowed for Republicans); and he’s smarter than almost all of them in Congress.
And .. he’s an unashamed Christian; believing in the sanctity of life.
While Trump may end up being the nominee .. I’m sincerely hoping Cruz will be his running mate .. and that will make them the most dynamic duo we have seen in years.
The shoe fits, FRiend.
The media has no exclusive rights to the English language and its attendant colloquialisms.
How do you grill a pork and lesbian activist ?
Medium-well.
From your keyboard to God's ear, FRiend.
Odd looking creature............
Just remembered, I saw that pic last night, thought it was familiar.
On the scale of lesbian Canadians, she’s probably a 9, LOL
You're sure right about that.
He has debated NINE separate cases before the United States Supreme Court and WON ALL NINE.
THAT is probably the ugliest looking woman ever.
I wish he was stronger. Like he did the other press person when asked, he asked why the press was so hung up about sex? If he slams them more, he won’t get these sneak attacks, because they won’t want to look bad. He should ask in an accusing way, why their hypocritical.
It’s from an old Right Guard commercial.
Cruz has always been a favorite of mine—I thought he needed seasoning—maybe serve a term as Governor of Texas—After hearing him, I have made a change—he’s ready for the White House now—or the Grey House of the VP. I would hate to lose him in the Senate.
Then we will have a 3-way race in which Ted Cruz has the best hair. Imagine THAT! ;)
Wow, great job by Cruz, who was verbally ambushed by a mentally ill actress in disguise. Although Ms. Page is not the brightest bulb on the tree, it shows that Cruz can articulately respond to hostile questioning, and he will face a lot of that from the MSM in the coming months.
As for Ms. Page, methinks her confrontation with Cruz--and her "coming out" announcement--were largely publicity stunts for an actress who has passed her Hollywood "sell by" date. She's too old to play a teenager and not pretty enough to be a successful leading lady
