Donald Trump may be the spinning top that wont fall down, but his Iowa co-chair is cringing at some of his recent statements.
On illegal immigration, he wants to gather up the families and ship them out? That was a boondoggle. The caucusgoers are like, What? That was a big mistake, Richard Thornton told The Des Moines Register.
But Thorton still thinks the Republican candidate can plow forward, but he is going to have to expand his policy issues to do so.
He told the Register Trump needs to focus on the economy, bringing back jobs from overseas and term limits.
So far, Trump has only detailed one policy proposal: His controversial immigration plan.
At his first town hall in New Hampshire Wednesday, Trump was asked about his other campaign ideas.
The business mogul promised wonderful policies in the future, but cautioned against laying too much out ahead of time.

Not as commie as Oregon...Ive lived 1/2 life in each state
Seems you’ve got every assumption wrong there Skippy, but I reckon you’ve grown quite comfortable playing the ignorant ass on the internet.
bye bye
I was just demonstrating what an ignorant ass you love to be with your 13 year old comments.
You’re on a site that has 75-80% support for Ted cruz, and spout stupidity like anyone smart enough to see what a fake trump is must be a GOPe supporter.
There is no one here to change your diaper; are you sure that you want to be here?
.
Portland for sure. Strange how a single city gets to set policy for an entire state.
Same danger when three or four states can determine policy for the other 46 or 47.
Truly amazing. Have your read your posts lately? Could they be more ignorant, or obnoxious for that matter?
Brilliant. How did you know that in mere hours from this prescient pronouncement only 30,000 people wold show up live in Mobile, Alabama to hear Trump speak?
You're on a roll. Time to book that Vegas trip now.
What you seem to miss is that what Trump sycophants think is not what is relevant.
Real people want more communication on the more important issues, which he has totally failed to address.
His “We gotta take care of the wimmin” bombast has all of the real conservative voters retreating from him at light speed. Women need to take care of themselves, not suck on the government teat.
His comments are full of these red flags.
.
You understand conservative culture, right?
Easily!
They could be like yours.
.
Who wrote that for you?
.
Quite!
Trump, being a social liberal, obviously does not.
Trump sycophants would like to view themselves as conservatives, which they obviously are not.
They are all followers, and lack analytical processes.
.
So, your proscription is to fallow Our Nation- by following the right wing democrats? Who, could possibly insult the lefties?
.
Neither you nor I have the slightest idea what you’re talking about.
Nonsequitur is the applicable term.
.
Good swing and a miss. Your declination is southern.
A four bag homer to those that have understanding.
You obviously do not, or you would have responded with something that at least made sense.
Could you train me, to be as deep you?
Well, first you don’t lay a strawman on someone, babbling about imaginary “right wing democrats” when we are talking about Republicans.
That alone will improve your score by 75%.
