I’m sure a lot of these names have got to be just curious people who were just checking it out.
I mean, a dating site...for married people? What are the profiles like?
Now, if it has their credit card...then that’s probably a different story.

They did it to themselves. No sympathy from me.

Same reason that I kept getting
Nigerian scam emails for 15 years. There were enough people out there who were stupid enough to keep falling for it.

The damage was done when these people chose to treat their sacred vows as toilet paper and signed up for this site. While I don’t support hackers or the revealing of personal information, I have zero sympathy or respect for the names found on those rolls.

What ever happened to meeting REAL people & talking with them, having dinner together, getting acquainted? The Mad Ashley method allows for putting out a photoshopped photo; then when you do meet someone, they don’t recognize you from the photo. - Like the model on Ashley Madison, photoshopped & cut from whole cloth. - “Relationships going nowhere.” Sad.

Ok let us be serious.
If someone unexpectedly hacked the site in order to reveal millions of cheaters in a massive data dump as collateral damage to fraudulently deny some individual a promotion, i still have to laugh at the rest while feeling sorry for the wronged individual.
This hack was not announced in advance so as to allow the dirty tricks you suppose. These cheaters were caught with their pants down and if they have any sense they will be talking to their spouses now.

Govt workers who signed up with their official .gov email addresses which means on a govt computer on govt time. Sometimes you just cant fix stupid. Why not use your yahoo or gmail email address? What cretins! Probably in the EPA and are affirmative action babies. I guess they are not porn-surfing all the time. They go to adultery and dating sites too.

Actually, I think it’s kind of funny, myself.
I bet most people who signed up didn’t act on it, anyway.
To: longtermmemmory
so if I want to destroy someone I just have to enter their info into the site?An email was entered into the Ashley Madison system for the office of Ted Cruz.
Was it a liberal trying to set Sen Cruz up in their pure hatred of conservatives or was there more to it?
We all know that most who seek high office have personalities and psychologies that tend towards infidelity.

The hackers warn of this exact thing on the search site. If the email address is there, it proves nothing.
But if the billing address and other information is there (credit card information, for example), it is pretty hard to deny.

Not true at all. Any email registered with the site, payment or no payment, shows up.
