Good point.
I’m not going to start any shooting wars amongst Cruz / Trump OR Trump / Cruz supporters.
Let’s all play through this together, and things will become clear later.

I dont get it....the two had bonded over the issue of illegal immigration. Does that help? illegal, not legal.

It's probably the author speculating to smoke someone out, hoping they'll spill the beans.

Walker has kicked around his man crush on Rubio for a while, but if they do team up, there is no getting around the fact that Walker won’t do a thing about illegal immigration. Rubio even support anchor babies.

Cruz made a passing reference to make America great again, which has since become the Trump campaigns slogan. Trump applied for a trademark on the phrase shortly after the 2012 election. The Texas senators use of the phrase, even in passing, prompted the Trump Organization to reach out and warn the Cruz camp in a friendly manner not to use it again, according to a Trump campaign insider.
2012--WOW. Trump has had a long term plan to run.

Santorum would be my 2nd choice, but there’s no point in wasting a vote on someone not even in the top 10, so my de facto 2nd would be Trump. It’s a weak field if you’re looking for solid conservative values.

I’m fine with it the way it is for now. I saw one poll with Trump, Cruz and Carson together having exactly 50 percent between them (more than half Trump). So let Cruz and Carson stay in and get their niche voters, then when the primaries are done they can drop out and throw their support to Trump. With any luck their combined total will be enough to nominate Trump. Personally I would rather he picked another running mate and named Cruz AG and eventually to the Supreme Court.

“The underlying assumption is Trump will drop out. Why not Cruz?”
Do people really think Trump would want to put up with all the BS he would have to as a President for 4 years?
