Ha! That pic reminds me of the distorted face of Jay Leno that he used on the Tonight Show when doing one of his bits.

Oh, could you see Carson being appointed as Religion Czar and holding
prayer breakfast every morning, live?

I can see it.

In case anyone missed it, Trump mentioned today in his Q and A Townhall that Cruz is one of a few Republicans trying to fix Washington, unlike the others who were sent there in the Midterms.

Cruz would be wasted for 4 or 8 years as VP.

How about the first Supreme Court spot? A young man, Constitutionally brilliant, many years ahead of him.

If only there were a way to replace Roberts. There seems to be no way to demote him, just impeachment and removal unfortunately.

In seriousness, this may be a more striking stroke of genius than anyone realizes. Trump has what Cruz lacks (charisma, “star” power to attract crossovers) while Cruz has what Trump lacks (serious understanding of government, steadfast policy positions).

Note that when Trump needed an immigration policy, he sought out Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), one of the staunchest conservatives in Washington. Who do you suppose got the two of them in the same room? Might that have been Cruz?

So Cruz could be feeding Trump his conservative pals to give Trump the meat behind his positions and, meanwhile, Trump either will be the front man for what Cruz would try to do as president or will hand off as many of his supporters to Cruz as possible as the nomination gets closer.

This may actually be a “Trump/Cruz” two-horse tandem by design which completes what the other candidate lacks and can eventually knock off the rest of the GOP field leaving only a weakened Democrat nominee as all that stands between them and the White House. Trump helps Cruz’ ideas win the day while Cruz positions himself as the successor at whatever point Trump no longer wants to take the arrows.

If true, it shows an amazing chessmaster personality on the part of Cruz to realize the media has already tarnished his name and to bring in a guy with Teflon qualities to essentially spout his positions and open the door to access to a presidency by proxy. Brilliance, if true.

And I think that's exactly what they're doing. I think that Cruz and Trump, whatever their flaws, are both patriots who recognize that this country is close to sinking. They have, therefore, put their country above personal ambition and comfort to team up to try to win this election. I can see Cruz making that sacrifice. I don't know enough about Trump to know if he's making a sacrifice yet, but he is certainly proving that he's smart enough to put his own ego aside and team up with the people who can help him accomplish what he needs to accomplish.

Until now Cruz has been playing it smart. Don’t do it Cruz. We need you. Trump will destroy you like all his hookers.

What about Trump criticizing Pamela Geller for her free speech event?

Cruz is and has been mostly on the right page on immigration, but what I found disappointing is his lack of emphasis and a tendency to be somewhat mealy-mouthed about it. Now that he sees how much traction Trump gets on account of the issue, and how strong the grassroots opposition is to amnesty, perhaps Cruz will start putting his immigration platform center-stage.

I see this as a way to sink Jebbie faster. We need to coalesce around a single non-Jebbie as soon as possible.

The original glut of GOP candidates were either conservatives or pseudo-conservatives who split the anti-Jeb vote. With Kasich and Christie in the race, the liberal Republican vote is now split too. Let's hope Kasich and Christie stay in for the long haul while conservatives decide on a single alternative.

Poor choice of words by Trump for sure. She is a warrior!

If that comment comes up in a future debate I have no doubt Cruz would disagree with that assessment.
