You really want to lower the morale of the special forces that much?

Finding out that a woman can do some of the things they can do to protect our country will lower their morale? Maybe they need counseling.

Yeah, Jack, you should be sent to Tolerance Kamp for making a statement like that.

Norm, you are right.

Well that would come as a surprise to my nephew who graduated MARSOC 8 years ago and who has been almost constantly deployed as an operator ever since. We don’t get to see him much any more but I did just chat with him at a family gathering and he tells me he is on the Colonel list.

Indeed

But folks who’ve never even been in a good fist fight who think it’s swell

You ever notice the forum has a lot of men with no experience with women other than from afar

Yep, sure have.

This woman with me came into me as she knew I had to write a report to the higher ups about our experience and my opinion.

It never worked.

These two women might or not have special treatment, but I do find it strange they failed the first phase and then all of a sudden they retry and finish it with flying colors.

Did you see the interview this morning? I feel I must be the only person who have noticed this interview

A guy who was with them was asked how he felt. He replied how he had doubts but the women stepped up tot he plate. How did she do this?

he went on how his weight was too much and he could not finish the march and so he asked about who could take some weight and she said she could and did and if it was not for her he would not have passed.

HUH, ER So this guy is full of B/S or he could not carry his own weight which should mean he should have failed and admits it.

OR

He carried hers and switched players in the story.

Either way he should fail and since WHEN DID THE MILITARY NOW LET OTHERS CARRY WEIGHT ON A MARCH TO PASS A TEST?

When I was in each man carried his own weight on a march to see if he could qualify.

If any of this is true then it shows how pathetic the military has become and how we now let anyone weakling fool in.

My thanks to him for his service. However, the Marines aren’t considered special operations.

With all due respect you don’t know what the hell you are talking about. Getting through Ranger School does not make you special forces. Getting in to the 75th Ranger Regiment would. Just as graduating SEAL, Green Beret or MARSOC.

You misunderstand. I never said getting through Ranger school makes you special forces. I said that rangers are special operations.

Perhaps I hit post to soon on that last one. Just to be sure I’m not misunderstood.... You are aware of the difference between special operations and special forces? Rangers are special operations. Not special forces. Marines are neither. Not to say that Marines, Rangers, and SEALS don’t become Green Berets, delta force or other special forces. But, that is additional training and they are chosen individually from those units. No, I am not an expert but I believe that is correct.

Andrew Wilkow interviewed Kris Paranto (13 Hours in Benghazi) on his show today about this. A drill Sgt. from Ft. Benning also called in with some insights. Very interesting.

I don’t think the complete podcast has been uploaded yet.
