Walker: Where is vote to repeal ObamaCare? [Desperately trying to gain relevance]

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker took aim at Washington Monday, accusing establishment figures such as the Senate majority leader of being "part of the problem."

Walker, who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, was asked by Glenn Beck if he would agree that there are people that "are part of the establishment, like Mitch McConnell, that are part of the problem."

"Yes, I hear it all the time and I share that sentiment. We were told if Republicans got the majority there'd be a bill on the president's desk to repeal ObamaCare," Walker said during an interview on Beck's radio show. "It is August. Where is that bill? Where was that vote?"

The Senate did take a procedural vote on an amendment that would have added the repeal of President Obama's signature healthcare law to a long-term highway bill. But supporters of repealing the law failed to get the necessary votes to move forward.

Walker isn't the only Republican running for president to try to galvanize on anti-Washington sentiment.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has repeatedly called on his supporters to help him bust the "Washington cartel" and referred to McConnell as the "so-called Republican leader" who is part of a "McConnell-Reid leadership team," referring to Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

Walker added on Monday that it was governors, not Congress, that managed to slow down, if not halt, part of Obama's executive actions on immigration.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals is currently reviewing an injunction brought by 26 states that blocked the president from moving forward.

"It's not because of Congress, a Republican-led Congress, did anything to stop him from doing that. This is where the frustration is," Walker added on Monday. "People are saying loud and clear 'do not dismiss my concerns. Do not dismiss the fact that you told us Republicans stood for something and it's not happening in Washington.' "

While low approval ratings for Congress are common, according to a Gallup poll released earlier this month, 14 percent of U.S. adults approve of the job lawmakers are doing, compared to 17 percent in July.

Meanwhile, 34 percent of Republicans had a favorable opinion of McConnell.

While I'm sure that we can all be thankful to Gov Walker for standing up to the government employee unions in Wisconsin, his insider status has made him utterly irrelevant in this election cycle.

And where was Walker’s admonitions of the “establishment” during the debate?

I guess, but I am surprised that his support has never materialized. He hit his high water mark the day he announced. Weird.

Could not agree more. Scotty is the GOPe default candidate for when Jebbie crashes and burns. Unfortunately for the establishment they are both crashing and burning. Trump has staked out all the relevant talking points and nobody is going to get the bullhorn away from him.

McConnnell Aide Joins Walker Team

Gov. Scott Walker's political group is building its policy team by hiring a top aide to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Our American Revivial has hired Andrew Bremberg to serve as its policy director, a spokeswoman for the group said Friday.

Bremberg, who had been serving as McConnell's policy advisor and counsel on nominations, will oversee the development of domestic and foreign policy for Walker's group as the Republican governor considers his likely 2016 president

Walker is so disgusted with McConnell he hires his staff.

Walker is the only guy to stand up to left wing unions since Reagan was President. And yet we must hate Walker because he is running against Trump. Right?

Walker evidently does not understand that Obamacare cannot be repealed while Obama is in office for the following simple reason.

Given that Obama will veto any bill that dares to repeal Obamacare, probably neither House of Congress will have the constitutionally required 2/3 majority vote (1.7.2) needed to override such a vote.

And incumbent RINOs in both Houses were probably very much aware that they wouldn’t be able to repeal Obamacare, but nonetheless played on the ignorance of low-information patriots to win their votes and get themselves reelected by promising to repeal Obamacare.

“Where is vote to repeal ObamaCare?”

He just has to ask his handlers. They had the Republicans in Congress vote 50 times to defund it, but then made sure none of the votes meant anything.

Dayspring and others REALLY need to keep him better informed regarding the stunts the Republican Leadership does to try to fool their “Low-Information Voters” as they call us.

See, had he said all this two months ago he might be leading. But a leader leads and is in front on the issues.

Nobody hates Walker. He is just not the right person for the times we are in. He does not have a vision for America or the right answers to our problems. Walker is a regional candidate and he will have zero chance at winning a general election. He needs to stay in WI.

Nope, it is because he needs the establishment for money to run. They own him. Not really his fault, but he has cast his lot with the wrong bunch. He needs to stay Governor this go round.

And because Trump has tons of money you trust a guy who has admittedly bought politicians, supported single payer, lobbied for an assault weapon ban and wears the stupidest combover in American history?

I don’t hate Walker at all. I think he is at his level as governor, and he just never had “it”, that unexplained quality needed to rise to the next level.

He signed ultra-sound bills and lots of other pro-life legislation. Pretty harsh words for someone who has done a lot for the pro-life movement, more than anyone else except other governors.
