Why Kayla Mueller, raped repeatedly by ISIS leader, refused to escape
Christian Science Monitor ^ | August 15, 2015 | By Sara Aridi

Abu Bakr-al Baghdadi, the leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS), had repeatedly raped American hostage Kayla Mueller during her 1.5 years in captivity, US intelligence officials told her family in June.

"They told us that he married her, and we all understand what that means," the victim’s father, Carl Mueller, told The Associated Press. Ms. Mueller, whose death was reported in February, would have turned 27 on Friday.

"Kayla did not marry this man,” added her mother, Marsha Mueller. “He took her to his room and he abused her and she came back crying."

A 14-year old Yazidi girl captured by ISIS in Iraq last August revealed the American aid worker’s ordeal to US officials who later confirmed the reports. The young girl says she spent two months with Mueller in a house in the Syrian town of al-Shadadiya before escaping in October 2014, reports London’s Independent newspaper.

Mueller tried to shield the girls from the terrorists’ abuse and violence, sometimes putting their lives before hers. When the Yazidi girl escaped with her sister, she asked the American to join them, US officials relayed. Yet Mueller refused out of fear that her foreign appearance would put them in danger. . .

I got money on it that she didn’t.

Her last thoughts “People from my country made them this way.”

Idiots like that are programmed to project victimization on everyone. Ironically it’s also the reason she stayed and let this man rape her instead of using her teeth to make him bleed out, or leaving with the smart Yazidi girls, who were raised to know that islam is death.

I’ll tell my daughters that if they are ever raped, to bite it hard and tear. If you can’t get “it” go for the throat, bite hard and tear.

When she joined up with the Islamists I consider her a traitor and have zero sympathy for her. She sought it out - and she found it.

By the way, when “politics” is put into action against this country on foreign soil it isn’t simply “politics” anymore.

“Idiots like that are programmed to project victimization on everyone.”

They actually project that victimization on themselves first & foremost before others. That’s the main problem. She must have had an indirect/separate personal, social or familial cause or issue to go there, and possibly try to make things right (in her mind, thinking).

Btw, the Palestinian issue has very little to do with ISIS.

Anyhow, rape is about domination and humiliation of another person (man or woman) - that’s the motivation behind it by the perpetrator. IOW, they’re messing with the victim’s head.

There are 2 ways we can deal with this. One, is to act decisively (even brutally) with the perpetrator. Two, is to ensure those (civilians) who go there are fully aware of & are very clear about the risk they take, including consequences. I believe the first will send a very clear message if consistently actioned.

She was an American citizen. Regardless of her politics, that must be respected. Else, do you justify Israeli murder of an American or Islamic rape of another. Seriously?

What Israeli murder of an American are you referring to, please?

Actually the Palestinian issue has everything to do with ISIS.

If there were no islam there would be no “Palestinian(whatever that is) issue, or ISIS”

Rape is a result of thousands of years of survival instinct and genes literally screaming to procreate. Human conscious and intelligence are the deciding factor in becoming an animal, or being compassionate. Psychobabble expert Fraud set the bar really high. But in reality it’s really low.

I am sorry for this naive woman and her family but something about this latest story about her martyrdom doesn’t ring true

Since women travel heavily veiled I am not buying the excuse that her appearance would have been an issue as part of an escape

I tend to think maybe more toward Stockholm syndrome

“If there were no islam there would be no “Palestinian(whatever that is) issue, or ISIS””

Keyword there is Islam. But ISIS is not a group that solely or primarily focuses on Palestine, or Palestinian versus Israeli land or religious issues at all. ISIS has clearly focused on bringing about a broad caliphate of its own (against other muslims and denominations too).

“Rape is a result of thousands of years of survival instinct and genes literally screaming to procreate. Human conscious and intelligence are the deciding factor in becoming an animal, or being compassionate.”

You sorta got it. In animal kingdom it is primarily about spreading your genes and procreating. Humans are far more intelligent and use rape, in war (which is the case for ISIS vis a vis ‘others’) for domination & humiliation; procreation will be later.

By the way, why is it you think the article on post 14 is a lie?

And if it isn’t a lie, who is the “low information dolt”?

Disagree on the end game; it was a brave thing to do to try and shield the young girls and sacrifice herself lest she endanger their escape. What a brutal lesson she learned.

Poor, naive little girl, sheltered in the cocoon of liberalism and she drank the koolaid. And as Tony Montana said, “look at you now.”

Obama policy against ransom includes one exception:

You can pay ransom to terrorist enemies of America if it is to return traitor/defector enemies of America.

Agreed, she chose her own path to hell, based on pure liberal fantasy about Islam and the Middle East. I really don’t have any sympathy for her because she put herself in that situation. Not sure what she was expecting, but it’s safe to assume that she thought that the ISIS barbarians would welcome her with open arms, and they certainly did (but not in the way she hoped).
