Hillary Clinton’s Bribery Scandal (Did she forward classified info for loot?)
Commentary Magazine ^ | 4/24/15 | Peter Wehner

Posted on 08/15/2015 1:29:35 PM PDT by Libloather

Earlier this week I referred to Hillary Clinton’s “tangle of corruption.” It turns out I was being generous.

As the politically explosive story in the New York Times demonstrates, the depths of the Clintons’ corruption and avarice is stunning. The facts in the Times story are utterly damning and prima facie evidence of a conflict of interest. If foreign governments, including adversarial ones like Russia, paid the Clinton Foundation and/or Bill Clinton huge sums of money, they assured themselves favorable treatment. (Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was pursuing the purchase of a Uranium One, a uranium mining company.) What we’re talking about looks very much like bribery, as former Governor Mitt Romney told Hugh Hewitt.

It’s worth placing this revelation in context: The Clintons have known for years that Hillary would run for president–and yet they still undertook this transparently unethical and potentially politically catastrophic action. The same is true of Mrs. Clinton’s deletion of 30,000 emails, another breathtakingly inappropriate, and possibly illegal, act. (It wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume that some of those deleted emails included a discussion of Uranium One, the company the Russians assumed control over.)

I can’t imagine that history will judge her kindly.

History will not judge her kindly but she could care less. Both Obozo and her should be thrown in prison. In this country that will never ever happen. She will be given medals and a Nobel piss prize and an oscar. Obozo already has his Nobel piss prize for doing nothing. This is reality in the USA.

Circa 2010--Ex-Pres Clinton in Moscow having a laugh w/ Putin.
as strategic US uranium deposits were sold off to Russia.

Bill Clinton pocketed $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was pursuing the purchase of a Uranium One, a uranium mining company....which eventually gained power over strategic US uranium interests.

It’s difficult to put the government situation into terms understandable by people who are not in government. In my MBA studies what became apparent over and over was that people do what they are rewarded for and do not do things that they will be punished for. The rewards and punishments are in the hands of people who see a world where America is evil. These people sought and attained positions of power and influence so they can bring their verison of a better world about.

People who are employees do not generally have an overpowering selfless or patriotic impulse that would put their lives or even comfort at risk by telling the world what is really going on. Who would they tell? No news agency will break the party line. When they do, like the New York Times running the Clinton email scandal, you can be certain they are merely pawns in a higher level power play by rival princes of the Democratic party.

I’m certain there are selfless, patriotic employees in the CIA and FBI. I’m equally certain they don’t have the data they’d need to blow the whistle as their bosses will be certain people of their ilk are manning stations far from the rat holes where the data they need is stored.

Further, all of those “independent” watchdogs report to the same rat.

What they describe isn’t bribery, it’s espionage.

Exactly right............

A typical organized crime family does nothing more than what the Clinton bunch has done. The main difference is that organized crime never officially held any government office.

"It’s difficult to put the government situation into terms understandable by people who are not in government."

No it's not really, if it is it needs to change.

I work in a highly regulated industry and I sign papers every day/week for which I'm held accountable, under penalty of a fine or imprisonment. In fact, doing my job, people have gone to jail and certainly lost their careers. Hold people accountable and the overseers' will not get away with it. Something has to change.

" I’m certain there are selfless, patriotic employees in the CIA and FBI"

If that is true, then maybe they should start acting like it, don't you think? Personally, I've seen non of it, and am sick and tired of being held to a different standard, for lees important things, actually.

“Personally, I’ve seen non of it, and am sick and tired of being held to a different standard, for lees important things, actually. “

When Carter was president I was working on a Top Secret project. Billions had been spent not only on the project, but to keep it secret. President Carter had just cancelled the B-1. Carter couldn’t stand criticism. He had to be right. Further, everybody had to know he was right. So, he revealed why he had cancelled the B-1. In a few short years we’d have a fleet of stealth bombers and fighters that could penetrate where the B-1, despite its (origional) supersonic speed, could never go. This breech gave our enemies a priceless head start on countering stealth. As a result, the F-117 was recently retired where it should have had another 10 years in the field.

I took in the Aviation Week magazine and showed it to our security. Everything we were supposed to keep secret had been revealed by our president. I’d have gone to jail and still be there. He went on to haunt America like Freddy Kruger.

Life ain’t fair and it’s good to be the boss. There aren’t just two standards, but many. The workaday man is at the bottom of the standard’s barrel. We hold McDonald’s to higher standards than our elected officials.

I keep saying this..even on my level as a County Supervisor the first thing you are taught is document security. we take courses and we have to sign oaths. If she didn’t know than we are worse off than I ever could have imagined. They have whole departments dedicated to this. She knew and she chose to do what she wanted because she believes she is untouchable.

I hope you’re right - but given that the writing of history these days is done by the likes of Doris Kearns Godwin (and group of up and coming sycophants), I’m not too optimistic.
