Glenn Beck: Why Do Conservative Pundits Support Trump?

Glenn Beck wants to stage a conservative intervention. The former Fox News host and prominent conservative commentator is confounded that so many Republican voters are attracted to Donald Trump. And Beck is particularly bewildered by the conservative pundits who are hooked on the bombastic real estate mogul. "Why are big name 'conservatives' supporting him?" Beck asked wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday. Beck went on to name names, calling out some of Trump's biggest boosters in conservative media: Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage.

"I am not talking about the average Joe, I am talking about Sean Hannity or Ann Colter (sic). How about Savage or Rush?" Beck wrote. "These are smart people. What am I missing? Just based on his favorability ratings he could never win in a general. Research shows that he may be near his ceiling now."

Trump has a Northeastern way of speaking using a conversational style.

He’s a natural story teller.

Even Mark Levin said he was an engaging communicator.

All I can give you is the information contractors in the industry share with each other about customers to avoid. If you do not want to believe it, no skin off my ass.

Gee that goes right along with the story when he got a bill from concrete firm for 900,000 he wrote a check for a million and delivered it himself thanking the subcontractor for his loyal and quality work. ....He is extremely well respected by those who work for him. That how the rink in NYC got finished in record time after DT took over
(Names and actual job locaction are on history thread )

So true. Across the country from all walks of
life people are fed up with being told that
any criticism of this administration equals
racial bigotry. And, as you indicate we are
led by a dictator and his milquetoast
legislature. Enter a brazen egotist who
can’t be ruined by getting bounced out of politics.
The First Amendment has been rediscovered and
Trump has been a key part of that.

“The reason I have not worked for him is that my company’s trading area is strictly north and central New Jersey, not NYC or South Jersey (Atlantic City). Our paths have not crossed to be fair, but if they did I would decline, for the reasons given.”

So, when you badmouth Trump, it is all hearsay, with the exception of one roofer you claim to know of who interacted with Trump. I’d love to hear Trump’s version of what happened with your friend the roofer. Bet the story would be very different.

Trump’s reputation is also very different than what you portray here based on no actual proof on your part, just hearsay from your small circle of friends. Too many people obviously love doing business with Trump or they wouldn’t do it, would they. What you say here is your opinion and you are entitled to it. It’s just that I discount what you say as it doesn’t pass the smell test.

Then why did your friends not do the same?

I’m sure he does but I honestly believe both big parties including all Democrats and 95 percent of Republicans are leading this country in the wrong direction.

I will only support candidates who are really conservative and don’t just talk that way to get elected.

We need action from leadership that is risky and unpopular.

Spending money and raising our debt ceiling like Obama, McConnell and Boehner have allowed isn’t right and is leading to the nation’s ultimate demise.

I don’t think that will stop unless a Ted Cruz type Republican is elected President and there is a change in Congress as well.

Some of the other hosts and pundits like Coulter are supporting Trump now so they can turn on him later at a critical moment for the GOPe in their quest to rig this contest so Jeb Bush wins it.

I have never heard about this type of treatment for his contractors. Do you have proof? Is there an other side to the story? Were the contractors trying to screw Trump by padding their charges?

The human condition would be the answer. Everybody always thinks it will be different for them. Probably the same reason someone marries someone who has been divorced three times, for me, it will be different.

If this were the case, Trump wouldn’t be able to get this past the unions, repeatedly. He wouldn’t be able to find subs to build his projects. And, he certainly wouldn’t be running for President of the USA....knowing this type of (BS) info would get out.

You talk a big game, for one who’s only going by what “your colleagues in your industry” have said.

Same question, list of contractors in the industry that share with each other about bad old Trump as you say above. Cough up the info. Name names of these contractors. You must know them to state what you are saying here. And no, I don’t believe you other than the fact that you are bloviating here. Jealousy motivating you perhaps? Just what exactly is your family business?

Trump, (and Ted Cruz too) is respected by everyone except the Washington/Liberal-Leftist/GOPe Cartel. That’s all I need to know about either man.

All I can say is that is what I hear in the construction industry. Can I produce documents, no. But I’m confident I know a little more about it than people from Washington state or Indiana.

My opinion of Trump has dropped through the floor after watching his performance art tonight in NH.

Is this what you watched?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNfneMGIan4

Watch his rambling, incoherent "press conference" here and judge for yourself.
Nothing rambling, incoherent there. Please specify where on the video. Thanks.

“The former Fox News host and prominent conservative commentator”.

Glenn “Buy Morman survival food” Beck is no more a conservative than my St. Bernard when he’s hungry.

He came out two years ago for queer “marriage”, calling it a “Civil Right”. To hell with this conspiracy nut. How in the hell he ever got his own network should be put in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.10 to one says the Morman Church bankrolled it for him. That’s why he’s always pimping Morman products.

That's a pretty glib answer considering you say he's been known for those kinds of deals for many years.
