“They said he was “as dumb as a stump”....claimed that Reagan’s rhetoric was hollow and clichéd....that he offered nothing in terms of policy or substance”

—They also said he was possibly the Anti-Christ since his whole name Ronald Wilson Reagan was 666. I was a kid but I remember my parents being outraged at those comments

Actually the Andy Griffith character is supposedly based on radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey, if you’re old enough to remember him.

In public Godfrey came off as a genial, folksy guy but in real life he was a mean SOB.

The contrast to Trump should be plain to see- Trump takes shots at public figures who have taken shots at him, but there aren’t any stories about Trump being a nasty character in private life. Even his ex-wife has come to his defense.

Yes...Reagan was hammered very much like is being done to Trump....

What I often hear and see are people opposing Trump generally are those educated who don’t know the difference between being intelligent and being educated....there is a difference. Some are fortunate to have both....but I know many educated idiots who can’t discern the “climate” of this election nor the public ...

When the two parties are offering up Bush and Clinton, Trump should be no surprise.

.....”When the two parties are offering up Bush and Clinton, Trump should be no surprise”.....

Neither party got the message from the American people......though it’s been ringing their phones for years. Now they both are shaking because the ground they’ve stood on is quaking.

Trump interrupted his own speech to take a question from a guy who had been standing all though his speech; then he takes 3 or 4 more questions from other people...Then he resumes his speech... lol...good for Trump. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

I also watched his presser.

Trump does surprisingly well on Q & A.

Carly is terrible and Trump did the perfect takedown of her in this speech.

He’s a great campaigner, but his policies are either completely vague (things will be better and great isn’t a policy) or just plain bad. Putting a 35% tax on Ford’s imports from Mexico if they move their plant like he said he would do is absolutely ludicrous and terrible, anti-capitalist policy. He also wouldn’t have the authority as president to simply tax whatever company he wants and Congress would never pass it for him.

Surprise...Ford changed their plans...opening the earmarked Mexico plant in the USA after all. So Looks like Ford got the message and they are “ leading the way”...smart move on their part...companies often make determinations with the political climate in mind...

Here’s an interesting comparison...

Just like with General Patton, his motto was to “think big” and “be a winner” ...Trump is definitely similar and is a signature where none of the other competitors can even come close........Had Trump been a general in the military and with his win attitude he would have made a great military man......

Here’s some similar quotes by both Patton and Trump....

Patton....”Politicians are the lowest form of life on the earth”
Trump.....”Our leaders are stupid. Our politicians are stupid”

Patton....”I win where I fight”
Trump.....”I keep whining until I win’

Patton.....”Nobody ever defended anything successfully, there is only attack and attack and attack some more”
Trump.....”When somebody challenges you, fight back. Be brutal, be tough.

Patton....”Americans play to win at all times. I wouldn’t give a hoot and hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost nor ever lose a war.
Trump ....”When you have people that are cutting Christians’ heads off, when you have a world, at the border and in so many places … that it’s medieval times … We don’t have time for tone. ..We have to go out and get the job done.”

In the press conference Trump says he “loves the idea of campaign finance reform.” He said there should be transparency of who donated the money for big donors. The reporter then asked if he was for limits. He said “limits okay” and went to the next question.

(shakes my head)

That’s awful.

The helicopter was not one of those used in the regularly scheduled service between New York and Atlantic City that is operated by the developer’s Trump Air. The craft, which officials said they believed was built in 1982, had been leased from Paramount Aviation of Lincoln Park, N.J.

Have you ever seen "A Face in the Crowd"? He's Andy Griffith's character and he doesn't know it.

I believe that is the DVD George Soros' people handed to Glenn Beck to inform him he is seducing niave America with his show. No. I have never seen it but that is the first time I heard of it.
