Carly was in the business world climbing the HP corporate ladder. Trump was out there in the business world actually creating and building things. Trump’s a doer. Carly got fired from her corporate job. Give me the doer anytime.
When we lived on Maui, the rumor was that Alice Cooper would attend our Baptist church when he vacationed there. Don’t know if it was true or not, and I’m sure I wouldn’t have recognized him in any case.

The Iowa State Fair won’t allow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to give kids free rides on his helicopter on fairgrounds, but the real estate developer has secured a nearby location.
The helicopter will take off from a parking lot outside the fair in Des Moines, campaign state chairman Chuck Laudner told CNN on Friday, adding that Trump may hop on a few rides as well.
CNN previously reported that the Sikorsky is one of three that he owns, seats 12 people comfortably, including the pilot.
Trump will arrive in the $7 million helicopter before holding a press event. Despite Trump’s previous public announcement, his campaign expressed safety concerns about the event becoming so well attended that landing the aircraft could be a challenge.
The helicopter has already arrived in the area. It took three refueling stops to get it here and flew at an altitude of 2400 feet across the county, according to a source familiar with the travel plans.

Not really.... if you understand his “language” you understand what he’s saying.
As an example...There’s a very good reasons why Trump keeps bringing up China...he knows, and people who know what’s up with China know exactly what he’s saying. But for the rest he’s asking them to “trust” him. ..and if they don’t then they need to do their homework to find out.
Trumps not going to spoon food people......he’s telling people what he knows....what he sees and what he wants to change....he made to say how important it is to be flexible....and why. The man knows he’s going to have to make deals and that might mean some trade offs people won’t like ....but he’s determined those deals will get this nation the best for this nation.

I listened to the last half of the speech to get a better picture. I’d heard only 5 minutes or so for my first impression. I’ll move iy up to a C+.
I still think more structure is needed- “scripting” may be more accurate.
Of course that would conflict with the ‘personability’ of his presentation which is so good.
I was even more impressed with how like a dinner guest he was after the second listening. That is very different from what one sees in stump speeches, though politicians strive for it.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he improves with practice.

It was very good, Jane. Both the presser and the speech. He just talks as though he is with friends. Unafraid and determined to win this thing. He’s not a joke.
