As he was getting ready for press’ conference something happened and he stopped and asked if they were OK. Started the second time and a phone rang. Said “ telephone”
He smiled at audience response and commented about third try. And the. Started the conference. He was totally at ease and in command

I’m enjoying more listening to Donald Trump’s old Howard Stern interviews on YouTube. Stern asked him last year if he supported gay marriage or not and Trump refused to answer. Some “straight talk.”

You know they said similar about Ronald Reagan too....
They said he was “as dumb as a stump”....claimed that Reagan’s rhetoric was hollow and clichéd....that he offered nothing in terms of policy or substance.
WEll actually there isn’t too many people Trump hasn’t or doesn’t call his friends....he’s known for that and bragging about it as well. HE’s always been a socialite ....not so for Carly....she’s simply a social climber that got lucky to get in the arenas she sought....her history sucks!

Listen to ANY old speech by Reagan. There's no comparison between him and Trump. Reagan was "The Great Communicator" not only because he was a great rhetorician, but because he had worked through his conservative positions over the course of decades. He could hold forth on any important conservative issue.
Donald is extremely undisciplined, both intellectually and morally. He constantly engages in detraction which is a serious character flaw. No sane person would trust him in private conversation, so Donald will never receive honest advice or criticism. He will only be surrounded by yes-men.
A Face In The Crowd was based on Will Rogers and Arthur Godfrey. Radio, the movies and television has produced many a charlatan and fraud which fooled the masses. Trump is just the latest manifestation.
Reagan BECAME the great communicator...he certainly didn’t start at that...check his 1966 history when he first started and offended many people then...actually had to apologize once the dust cleared.......and least you forget he was Democrat for many years and supported their positions.

By who’s standards......he’s up against a machine that uses the tactics he’s been accustomed to hearing and likely used himself...so what? In war you play to win...and we finally have two candidates willing to do what it takes to win....and know how the enemy operates.
