Donald Trump: A woman VP would be ‘absolutely great’ [would consider Ayotte for VP]
Politico ^ | 08/14/2015 | Nick Gass

Donald Trump heaped praise on Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire in a Friday interview with a Concord radio station, calling the idea of having a woman as his running mate “absolutely great.”

Trump referenced his private meeting with Ayotte earlier this year, as well as “a couple of times” they had met, in his discussion with WKXL.

Calling the New Hampshire senator “a terrific woman” and “tremendous,” Trump said that he really liked her a lot and “would be somebody that you would consider” as veep.

However, I'm glad he is currently in the mix to open up the debate issues in plain language, even if he has no detailed policies.

I am fine with that too. But for any "conservatives" to consider seriously lifelong liberal Donald Trump for the GOP nomination is insanity. Yet many do.

We did. We selected Ted Cruz, the primary thorn in the GOPe's side.

Indeed. Ted Cruz is a conservative fighting the good fight.

Here is a little about Kelly Ayotte, the woman liberal Donald Trump wold consider for his VP.

And on Wednesday at a private luncheon, several Senate Republicans -- Dan Coats of Indiana, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire -- assailed Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who has led the movement to block funding for the health law.

Ms. Ayotte was especially furious, according to two people present, and waved a printout from a conservative group friendly to Mr. Cruz attacking 25 of his fellow Republican senators for supporting a procedural vote that the group counted as support of the health law.

Didn’t Haley fold like a cheap suit on the ANV flag fight with the BLM crowd.

I may be wrong, but I think she folded without a fight at all.

Not a quality you want in a VP.

He would be smarter if hell bent on a woman to go with New Mexico governor Martinez I believe is her name to put that state in play. Ayotte brings nothing to a ticket, in fact hurts any ticket she is on being a pro-death lefty.

Thank you and holy crap!

For all you Trumpateers, read the following taken from the CBS News On-Line site, dated June 16, 2015

[excerpt]"After his splashy announcement Tuesday that he's running for the Republican presidential nomination, billionaire businessman Donald Trump made another bold declaration: Oprah Winfrey would be a "great" running mate. "I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah," Trump told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "I think we'd win easily, actually."

Do you Trump supporters know about this? Oprah, as nice as she does, is the Queen of Hollywood Elite liberalism/socialism. I can't count the times she has fawned over Obama and visited him in the now Rainbow Hut, not to mention her copious donations to Hillary and other liberals. You Trump followers have NO idea what he is really about.

However, like I've said above and on other threads, I'm glad he's in the mix to open the issues to plain language, but you really don't want him in the White House. His actions and past statements shows he's not a conservative. He's a wannabe politician looking for power.

How often does it need to be said, that once an individual obtains wealth, what's left for advancement in their minds is power. I'm really surprised at all the Trump advocates here, other than those who appreciate his in face rhetoric.

Donald Trump: Oprah would be a "great" vice president

After his splashy announcement Tuesday that he's running for the Republican presidential nomination, billionaire businessman Donald Trump made another bold declaration: Oprah Winfrey would be a "great" running mate.

"I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah," Trump told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "I think we'd win easily, actually."

Of course like so many other things this makes no difference to the Trumpateers, because he has evolved since he said this on June 2015, and he keeps evolving, what you see is not what you will get...

Please tell me it is not true that Trump mentioned Oprah Winfrey for VP.

They already know and believe it or not they don't care.

They also don't care that Trump would consider uber-liberal Warren Buffet for a position in the Trump administration.

Why not just go on and pick a democrat? I’ve always thought Veeps should have a similar philosophy as the president their purpose is to take over if the unthinkable should happen. Ayotte as President is pretty unthinkable to me.

It would be a waste for Senator Cruz to be anything but President.

I do hope Cruz makes it, but if not he would be the best choice for VP and could help the President.
I also think a Trump term would be only one four year term and that leads to eight years of Cruz which isn’t bad at all, right?

"Of course like so many other things this makes no difference to the Trumpateers, because he has evolved since he said this on June 2015, and he keeps evolving, what you see is not what you will get..."

I'm really surprised that so many on this site and some 32% in the polls support this flip-flopper. As I've said many times..."cult of personality" is what wins elections. Trump is charismatic, plain-spoken, and a celebrity in this day of Kartrashians and Housewives of Who Gives a Crap.

I believe that Cruz, Walker, and maybe? Rubio should step up their game to compete in the arena of popularity. I've mentioned about Restoring the "Shining City on the Hill", but that would be to no avail if they didn't bring it home to LIV's and bleeding hearts.

There's a mix between progress and restoration of values/principles that provides equal opportunity and prosperity to all that someone needs to project in plain language. Unfortunately, Trump is the only one doing that.

Not really sure they know about the Oprah comment. Most conservatives/repubs don't follow CBS news. As for Warren Buffet, another toe in the mouth. He WILL bury himself. Just wondering who his support will go to - hopefully Ted Cruz.

Not really sure they know about the Oprah comment.

It was discussed and defended by the Trumpets back to the time he said it.

We may not have another four years to spare, this election may be our last shot. We need someone who knows and understand the Constitution and how to unravel what’s been done by illegal executive orders and fiat for the last four years and beyond. We won’t survive four years more of illegal executive action and leadership by fiat. A circus or CF is not going to fix anything. Why delegate our best to bench warming and going to State Funerals?
