Carly Fiorina: "Always the parent's choice" to vaccinate kids
CBS News ^ | 8/14/2015 | Reena Flores

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said Thursday that parents should not be forced to vaccinate their children against diseases like measles or mumps. However, she said she also believes schools should be free to make vaccinations for communicable diseases a requirement for attendance, saying families have to "make that trade-off" for themselves.

Fiorina told reporters after the event that "when you have highly communicable diseases where you have a vaccine that's proven, like measles or mumps, then I think a parent can make that choice."

California, where Fiorina ran for a Senate seat against Democrat Barbara Boxer in 2010, recently passed a law requiring nearly all schoolchildren to be vaccinated. Several calls to tighten the state's vaccine laws erupted after a measles outbreak last December was found to have originated in Disneyland.

Fiorina expressed her disapproval of the mandate, saying that "California is wrong on most everything, honestly."

It is better the enter heaven maimed, than have all your body parts and go to hell.

Barbaric. This type of thinking has become a drag on civilization.

Your insanity is what is amazing.

I haven’t claimed to represent anyone; what are you smoking?

Anybody can be sued for anything.

Little chance of anyone prevailing against a doctor on immunization.

I’m really tired of living in your head, rent-free or not.

Please plug the hole so we can move on.

You keep banging on the door, it’s not my fault if I open it and read you the riot act.

Oh, so you have not claimed to represent Christ? That was just a figure of speech in bygone time?

I think we were talking about vaccines and communicable diseases.

I have never claimed to represent Christ; he represents himself quite well in his word.

I take great exception to mortal men claiming to represent him; he appointed twelve men with that authority, and they have been dead for 2000 years.

Again, what are you smoking?

The minute you make remarks about Him, even quoting the bible, you are representing Him. It can not be avoided. One wants to do it to the best fidelity possible.

To shy away from that responsibility is to shy away from roles outlined in the Bible.

And it seems really stinkily disingenuous for this kind of talk to be coming from you, given your past conduct.

And your faith deficit thinking is why western civilization is fundamentally transforming to tyranny. Ok, be honest. You want to lock me up? Or take my kids?

It is your conduct that is in question.

You keep having these mental breakdowns, posting gibberish totally unrelated to the thread or my comments, and dragging your hallucinations from other times and places as though they are somehow valid.

This thread has no Bible references in it, neither by me or any other poster, and your wild assertions are glaringly inappropriate.

I see no purpose for any of your posts to me on this thread.

Who on Earth says vaccinated kids are immune? There is no scientist on the Planet that says that. Can’t tell from your post, maybe your are being silly, but vaccination does not confer immunity. Also, vaccinations require boosters. So, I apologize if I missed the silliness. ; )

I say again, don’t vaccinate your kids and that’s fine, but keep them away from the rest of us. They could kill old people whose immunity has waned.

I thought that mercury was eliminated in all of the standard childhood vaccines years ago, except the flu vaccine.

Mercury is listed as ‘trace’. No specific definition of ‘trace’ is given. Who knows.

Just telling you what his specific objections are. BTW when they took the mercury out they supposedly tripled the aluminum. His kid who seized after the 2m DTP and subsequently got an ASD diagnosis was vaxed in the late ‘80’s prior to the Hg being taken out.

No, no silliness intended. I wasn’t aware of the majority scientist opinion, rather parents who are adamant that unvaccinated children are a threat to their vaccinated children. Should they stay away in all cases or only if they are symptomatic?

I do agree completely with the states’ right to prevent unvaccinated children from attending public school.
