We will see how this plays out.

I would not be surprised if they pushed her into something she is not suited for just like Katie Couric.

Eventually Couric’s ratings got so bad she was fired.

Of course she is taking a vacation before kids have to go back to school!

Won’t be watching her fill-in, either.

Maybe she needs to rest her vocal chords like Glenn did. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Should be longer than that. Maybe for good.

I suggest another visit to the Howard Stern Show to vent and just depressurize a little. Howard's show is just the place for that, as before.

She has a chip on her shoulder.

************
Fox has to see that. At this point she has done significant damage to herself and to the network and Fox is probably very concerned about the potential for another outburst by her (and further ratings damage) so it decided she needed to lay low for awhile. This temporarily closes the door to any further damage, at least from her.

In my opinion Fox should have immediately acknowledged the validity of some of the criticism from viewers. There were effective ways to do this shortly after the debacle that would have made Fox look responsive to its audience but it too late now and that window has closed. Fox has mismanaged this whole thing but the one thing they did right was tell the Snarky One to get out of Dodge for awhile.

I think they’ll give it time and moderate her on-air psyche a bit and let it blow over. Given that she had no problems with hawking a little T&A on GQ to retain or move up, she shouldn’t have any problem in displaying some implied contrition.

It’s not like I believe she has any sort of scruples or convictions beyond that which serves her goals.

Ailes DID say he supported Kelly 100%, didn’t he?

That kind of statement is often the prelude to “Good Night, Irene.”

Good luck. She’s a great, intelligent, fearless broadcaster. The only substitutes they’ve ever used for her have been real airheads who are like watching paint dry.

Should she do a co-appearance with the Donald? He's been on way more than her.

Trump has also appeared on the shock-jock's show multiple times since the 1990s to field questions about everything from the size of his genitalia to premature ejaculation, sleeping with another man's girlfriend and his wife's bathroom habits.

If you think Shannon Bream is an airhead, you have a screw loose.

I like Megyn. Okay, her question to Trump was contentious and silly, but Trump handled it just fine and, furthermore, showed yet again that he can outthink his critics.

Is Megyn's need for a vacation an admission that she can't take the heat?

I heard Don Trump is going to fill in for her while she gets a hysterectomy to get rid of those pesky monthly episodes.

Here is an interesting little tidbit from this other thread this morning.

From theiowarepublican.com, Crazy Poll Numbers: Is Jeb Bush Now A Second Tier Candidate?

I’ve spent more time talking about Trump in the past two weeks than any other candidate, and I’m not talking about conversations with political reporters, I’m talking about the average people I encounter in my travels around the state. I can’t tell you how many times people come up to me and say, “so what’s your opinion about Trump.

I typically turn the question around on them to get them talking. Most of the people I encountered admit that they are intrigued by Trump. Some think he could win the nomination if he just watched his mouth a little bit. Others are frustrated that he’s not taking the race more seriously. I’ve also been surprised that so many people have mentioned the line of questioning by Fox News in last week’s debate.

It seems that Fox's screw-up is really resonating. They squandered a 24 million person opportunity over an ego trip, and it didn't go unnoticed.
