The second debate......which CNN is doing, but still.....people are bound to remember how badly the first one went, especially is she’s still in town, and might expect to give commentary

I am struggling to figure out why this is news. Millions go on vacation each year but I haven’t seen it go nuts about something like this. Good grief, is that what this country has become? So hooked on these types of people that we have to talk about them going on vacation?

When Ailes saw their numbers for Monday, (down 237,000 viewers )

Lets look at the last 3 Tuesdays:

July 28 Kelly File 2239000

August 4 Kelly File 2450000

August 11 Kelly File 2678000

Looks to be trending up.

I’m not understanding the hate....She was tough on a Republican candidate. I believe that she is tough on everybody. If any candidate ( of any political persuasion )cannot withstand tough questioning they should not be president.

The freeper haters aren’t acting any differently than left wing zealots that have been offended because someone is tough on Obama.

Don’t bother with explanations....I get it...it’s a human nature thing. Haters hate....and if there is nothing to hate...they go looking for something to hate...and convince themselves of their own righteousness.

It’s just disappointing to see...but then again, dealing with disappointment is a big part of life

Ailes DID say he supported Kelly 100%, didn’t he?

That kind of statement is often the prelude to “Good Night, Irene.”

Didn't NBC (initially) say they supported this guy 100%, when he took a "break"?

Fox should have immediately acknowledged the validity of some of the criticism from viewers. There were effective ways to do this shortly after the debacle that would have made Fox look responsive to its audience but it too late now and that window has closed. Fox has mismanaged this whole thing...

I agree. Perhaps today's news and network execs are not any smarter than they were several decades ago. Back then, you could bank on the exact wrong decision (the easiest) being made every time when in a crisis situation.

What she did not know was at the end of the day, it all comes down to ratings.

Then she does not belong in the television business

That woman can have some downright ugly facial expressions. She looks like a haughty, malicious, unpleasant, selfish woman. Her looks fit her personality.

Even Congress is on vacation.

Can they make it permanent?

She is like Obama. She has her beliefs and will not back down. That is her downfall.

When she comes back she will be more determined to prevail and that is what will bury here.

This was an internal Republican debate, not a general election between parties. No corporate entity would allow a team-building or idea-exchanging meeting to be blown up like FNC did.

Should she do a co-appearance with the Donald? He's been on way more than her.

He's not going around dissing other people for any little accusation of past rude personal behavior as she did at the debate, and he's not taking 10 days off to run and hide, or be hidden, from his part in the controversy.

To be a good FReeper -- your kind of FReeper -- one must overlook what she and Fox have done and remain silent?

I would bet a lot of money that Roger would not mind checking out Megyn Kelly, behind closed doors indeed.

I bet when this all does not blow clear for Megyan Kelly we will learn that everything she did was at the behest of upper management at fox....at the moment the behind the scenes political hatchet men at fox are engionering her leaving fox so that her being obn fox is not the constant remainder of the debate fiasco.

Maybe she can rent a house on the Vineyard and share it with Brian Williams.
