Contemplate, if you will, these two facts.
First, youve almost certainly heard about the videos that exposing the grisly business of Planned Parenthood (PP) in selling fetal body parts. Should Americans who think that this is a moral abomination be compelled to help fund this organization?
Many union members have to contribute to PP.
Last year, unions gave over $400,000 to PP and its political action fund. As Heritage Foundations James Sherk and Christa Deneault point out in this piece, the unions did not have to bother to find out whether the members whose dues funded this generosity approve of supporting PP or not.
If they had asked, Do you approve of having $X of your dues money go to support Planned Parenthood, many no doubt would have said, Absolutely not. But due to the extraordinary power given to Big Labor under the law, the wishes of the individuals dont matter. They cant say no unless theyre willing to quit their jobs.
The second fact concerns the recent trial, conviction, and sentencing of Joseph Dougherty, long-time business manager of Ironworkers Local 401 in Philadelphia.
Dougherty and eleven of his subordinates were convicted of assault, vandalism, and arson, all aimed at terrorizing non-union workers and companies so that Philadelphia could remain a union only town.

I think Trump is a big union supporter
I wish we could get rid of the NLRB.
You can be a union supporter without being a supporter of thuggery and lawlessness.
There should be no “pro-union” law, however.
If they are needed, no barriers should exist,
but on the flipside, no govt policy should encourage union membership.
Thanks reaganaut1.
Thanks Civ

My brother’s brother-in-law worked for a company that had a 30 year retirement plan, he worked for 29 years and 11 months, then the company laid him off, saying, “we don’t need you any more and by the way, no pension for you”. He went to the N.L.R.B. and they ordered the company to pay him his full pension. Not a unionized company.
The N.L.R.B. is not just for union matters.
The problem is it has been so politicized. The unions donate to Democrat politicians who in turn put union hacks on the board. What happened to your friend was against the law and I’m glad the NLRB helped him, but I just don’t think we need huge politicized bureaucracies to enforce our laws. They go way beyond and that goes foe all of them.
