RedState leader: 'I don't want my daughter in the room with Donald Trump'
CNN ^ | 8/8/15 | Thomas Lake

Posted on 08/08/2015 5:37:02 PM PDT by VinL

On Saturday morning at his annual RedState Gathering, one of the nation's most influential conservatives took the stage to deliver news that could change the course of the presidential race.

"If you haven't heard," the radio host and blogger Erick Erickson told his guests, "I disinvited Donald Trump."

Loud cheers filled the ballroom, along with several boos. Conservatives from around the Southeast had converged on the InterContinental Hotel for a two-day conference with scheduled appearances by 10 Republican presidential candidates. As it turned out, they would see only nine.

"Just so you have the context, let's roll the video," Erickson said.

Trump's face appeared on two massive video screens flanking the stage. He'd been asked on CNN about Thursday night's Republican presidential debate, when Fox News host Megyn Kelly pressed him about his history of offensive comments to women. By Trump's reckoning, the questions were evidence of an anti-Trump bias -- and perhaps something else.

"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," he told CNN's Don Lemon on Friday night. "Blood coming out of her wherever."

After playing the video, Erickson continued his explanation. He said Trump had crossed a line by implying that a female journalist's tough questions were attributable to her menstrual period.

"I don't want my daughter in the room with Donald Trump tonight, so he's not invited," Erickson said. "If our standard-bearer has to resort to that, then we need a new standard-bearer." (more at site)

New Petition is Circulating to Remove Megyn Kelly from Moderating Future Debates

Fox News‘ Megyn Kelly went after Donald Trump pretty hard during the first GOP Presidential debate, in which many people believe she attacked the billionaire mogul rather than simply ask him questions about the important issues of the day.

Now, a petition is circulating to remove The Kelly File host from moderating future debates.

From Conservative Tribune:

After many viewers were disappointed in Megyn Kelly’s performance in moderating the GOP debates — especially in her questioning of Donald Trump — Twitter exploded with comments about what seemed to be attacks on the Republican front-runners.

Now, a petition has been started to remove Megyn Kelly from hosting duties in future debates. It’s received thousands of signatures and has now gone viral.

The petition, started less than a day ago, was posted on website change.org and was addressed to News Corp, Fox News’ parent company, and CEO Rupert Murdoch.

“Megyn Kelly finds the state of our union amusing and “fun”, whereas the viewers (our fellow citizens) deserve a much more serious moderator,” the petition began.

“In addition, she had a clear agenda to attack Donald Trump, by tenaciously clinging to his past rather than his vision for the future,” it added. “She focused on Trump personally, rather than politically. Ultimately, she did not not live up to the ‘fair and balanced’ slogan at Fox News and News Corporation.”

Trump more than held his own during the debate, but what do you think about this?

Should Kelly be banned from moderating?

Does she deserve a second chance?

Yes she should be banned from moderating, and NO she doesn’t deserve anything but a pink slip....

Lets not forget to remove ourselves from watching Faux News.
One exception— Hannity. perhaps Greta now and then.

I wonder if someone shouldn’t post the article to Rush about what Erick had to say about disinviting Trump?

I don’t have his membership anymore, but someone on here might and they might do it for us, what do you think?

I think it’s great that you did that...I just don’t think Rush would like something like this done to him, and I can’t believe he would be a friend to someone as Erick....

I don’t have cable anymore...I can’t afford it, so I listened to the debate on Fox Radio on my computer and I was fuming the whole time...

I think Hannity and Greta would make great moderators, I just don’t think you would ever get Trump on Fox anymore after this mess, and rightfully so....
