Earlier tonight Donald Trump made this comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN’s show with Don Lemon:
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her… wherever.”
Now apparently I’m in the minority as I don’t think it’s solid that he meant her period. But everyone else apparently does. And tonight Carly Fiorina took to Twitter to call Trump out for it:
Even Erick Erickson agrees, saying he has disinvited Trump to the Red State Gathering because of it:
As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.
In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.”
It was not the “blood coming out of her eyes” part that was the problem.
I think there is no way to otherwise interpret Mr. Trump’s comment. In an attempted clarification, Mr. Trump’s team tells me he meant “whatever”, not “whenever.”

His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.
I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trump’s place tomorrow night.
Twitter is abuzz with this but the Donald has yet to tweet about it. I am sure he will soon and we will let you know when he does.

Erickson did himself no favors here. He will now be discounted as a PC RINO of no conservative worth. He has hung himself by his own neck.

Carly is wrong to defend Kelly. Let her fight her own battles.
At the moment, there are really only 2 primary candidates with the financial backing to run the full primary course. That would be Jeb and The Don. Jeb has the backing of the GOPe and outside monied interests. The Don is apparently self-financed with no visible reliance on DC or Wall Street. The Don’s real value to me would be to knock off Bush in a few of the early primaries, ESPECIALLY Florida’s winner-take-all, allowing some of the other less ably financed players a fighting chance at the nomination. The problem then becomes one of financing among those non-Bush remaining candidates, outside of The Don, which would place them under obligation to that same GOPe and other monied interests that are at odds with Tea Party type conservatives. IMHO you are looking at a potentially loose cannon or real change(?) with a Don nomination or a continuation of the status quo with a possible Bush/Clinton election. At this point and time I just can’t see the GOPe allowing anyone other than Bush the nomination with The Don the only one able to upset those plans due to his wealth.
Since Rush is good buddies with Ericson, I’m sure he’ll come on the air Monday acting concerned about Trumps remarks.
Rush’s show today was utterly useless. He couldn’t form one cogent thought, and it almost pained him to say something positive about Trump. Yet he has no problem praising Rubio with no critical analysis.
I think there’s something up with rush...he’s just not the same guy anymore.

It’s planned. Fiorina is going nowhere as a candidate. She was recruited just like Kelly to scare women voters away from Trump. It started with the “raped his wife” story that Kelly promoted. The debate question was a set up. Fiorina “emerging” in the little debate with her diatribe about Trump and now her faux outrage.
Fiorina was promised Establishment cred and some good gigs in media or government and Kelly is the liberal poster girl now for tough reporting. Their 30 pieces of silver.
It’s the same old never ending Establishment playbook. I’m surprised everyone doesn’t see through it by now. Today its Trump tomorrow who knows probably Cruz.
Why would Ericson do that? Not a brilliant move in my opinion.
Rush usually hedges his bets in primaries. He’s golfing buddies with all those guys.
Erickson is grandstanding. Since his group wanted to see Trump, why didn’t he reach out personally to Trump first and ask if he meant menstruation before freaking out about it publicly and playing Sir Walter Raleigh with the phony invite to Kelly?
