Trump Can Win
Newsmax ^ | August 6, 2015 | Dick Morris

Posted on 08/06/2015 1:01:14 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Donald Trump isn't going to drop out or suddenly leave the race. And he might just win it.

Trump has firmly planted his feet on the no man's land between the reality all Americans see around them and the fiction the conventional wisdom and politically correct speech define. In the process, he has increased his vote share to a lead in the Republican primary and improved his favorability rating by 17 points.

In the July 30 Quinnipiac Poll, he registered a 50-33 favorable rating among Republicans and a 27-59 among all voters. This rating was a big improvement over the 20-69 rating he had with all voters in their previous poll.

The establishment is waiting for Trump to make a mistake. But even as he tip-toes over the line of political correctness, his detractors need to understand that he — unlike they — is a media pro. Where they may occasionally appear on camera, Trump does it every week. He constantly threads his way between critics and says what he thinks. Doing so in a political context is no big deal for him.

He says what we think and what the other politicians do not dare to say.

He speaks openly and plainly about the link between illegal immigration and crime. The fact is that 800,000 people who are illegally in the United States have been convicted of a felony or a serious misdemeanor. Why are they still here? We had them in our custody — why did we let them go? How many times must we throw them out before we devise a system that blocks their re-entry?

Trump goes where the others fear to tread. It is their timidity that makes Donald's courage obvious. He's not getting out of the race. Indeed, he could win.

Trump’s secret is not playing defense. He will make “mistakes” by making statements that would be self-inflicted gunshot wounds to the head for all professional politicians. Trump won’t let that happen. He’ll ignore the initial flak, not back down or apologize, and change the subject back to a home-turf issue and go right back on the offensive.

All the professional politicians, when they make a politically incorrect statement, spend time either defending the ridiculous accusations about the statement (think “binders full of women”) or they start groveling and begging for forgiveness. Politicians who play that way surrender their political sovereignty to the press, who then picks who they will let live. And who dies.

I find it hard that Trump really wants to be president. If elected, wouldn’t he have to give up control of all his properties and ventures? I don’t see him doing that.

If Trump should run as a third party we must remember that a vote for Bush is a vote for Hillary.

Of course a RINO can win the Republican primaries. It is an established fact in the last 6 elections. Why would we be surprised if Trump won?

He’s only stating the obvious. But Trump’s negatives with all voters are pretty high. Trump has to turn that around. It’s sad if he can’t.

Political Correctness is every bit to blame for Amercia’s downfall as is the Liar-In-Chief and the 1963 “read into the Congressional Record” Communist goals for taking down America.

Where does it say that Trump would have to give up control of properties? But let’s assume you are correct, does not he have a track record of hiring good people? And he could easily find someone to manage his assets. If they do poorly, they are fired.

I really do not see anything right now as a stopper for this guy, he’s just plain on the roll to the top job in the US. He’s having too much fun making fools out of the opposition. This MO will continue on into the Presidency and he will actually get something done for our side.

I can’t wait to see the illegals start packing.

That’s not saying much, Dick. 0bama won election and re-election. With a bar set that low farm animals are now considering runs for the presidency.
