Garnet Coleman is a state representative from Texas. After he was stopped by a police officer for driving 94 mph, he claimed that the police officer had mistreated him. However, the dashcam video proved that he was lying.

If anything, the police officer went too easy on him, because he didn't ticket him. Such a ticket (combined with a previous ticket that he should have gotten, but did not) would have caused him to lose his driver's license. If anything, the police officer did a terrible disservice to the innocent drivers in Texas, whose lives are at risk because of this reckless driver.

This incident and the recent one involving the community college instructor reinforce the value to police of dash cams and body cams in refuting the rising number of bogus complaints of police misconduct.

I suspect dashcams and bodycams will just validate that most cops take a tremendous amount of craps from people, and they still maintain their composure.

Much to the chagrin of Amish agitators.

So, what will his punishment be? He tried to defame an officer. So, punishment please?

Should have gotten a ticket like the “common folks” do under these circumstances. Police shouldn’t be establishing precedents just because he is a Congressman. Wouldn’t be surprised if Quanelle X jumps to his defense. Fortunately the video and his comments made it to all the local news channels yesterday, including his refusal to apologize for the outright lies, not that it will make a lot of difference.

Garnet Coleman is a dumb loser. Would not surprise me if Obama and CNN jumped on to his defense.

This incident and the recent one involving the community college instructor reinforce the value to police of dash cams and body cams in refuting the rising number of bogus complaints of police misconduct.

I wonder why police unions have fought so hard against these camera then.
