More DNA Evidence Against Human Chromosome Fusion

by Jeffrey P. Tomkins, Ph.D. *

One of the most common arguments evolutionists use to promote the theory that humans evolved from an apelike ancestor is the idea of a “chromosome 2 fusion.” This story proposes that in a common ancestor shared by humans and chimps, two small chromosomes somehow fused end to end to produce human chromosome 2 (Figure 1).1 This supposedly explains the difference in chromosome numbers between humans and great apes—humans have 46 chromosomes, while great apes such as chimps, gorillas, and orangutans have 48.

Science should stick to the facts and not try to prove that man and apes are really the same.

I was watching a show on PBS a while back that was quite interesting.

They put forth the theory that Neanderthals from Europe bred with humans coming out of Africa. The result is a great many of us have Neanderthal DNA. That actually explains a girl I used to date, but I digress.

What got us, a room full of folks with advanced degrees in the sciences, talking was how did two separate groups of early humans develop half a world apart and then have a similar enough genetic structure that they could successfully breed.

Just seems to far out there that thorough evolution two distinct humanoids could exist in the first place. And when they encounter each other they would have similar enough DNA that they could breed.

It is because Neanderthals are actually just an ethnic group.

I remember in the late 1990’s, when they first realized that Neanderthals and “Homo Sapiens” not only could mate and have children, but the resulting children could have children. It blew a lot of the textbooks of the time out of the water.

Yes, and undoubtedly, Neanderthals were not the only organism misclassified as “separate species” based on fossil evidence alone. We know for certain that Denisovans also interbred with us, and for all we know, the same could be true of any number of “hominids”.

Evolutionists trying to make facts fit the theory rather than making the theory fit the facts is like Ptolemy’s geocentric theory.

Genetic engineering. This is the most likely explanation.
Evolution does exist. Micro evolution for sure. MAcro evolution there is no way to tell because of the vast length of time. Adaptation is the main ingredient for the meaning of evolution. We can all agree that all living organisms have the ability to adapt to their environment in some form or another. So to me it seems like there is at least a micro form of evolution that is proven and observable. But the question that has plagued creationists and evolutionists is weather genetic mutation can occur to change a specific species from one species to another. Especially in Humans. This is the million dollar question. The fact that we cannot find the bones of the “missing link” tells me that there is no bones to be found. Which also means that humans got here instantaneously. Which is not related to evolution!
