Video: Ted Cruz records bizarre online video showing how to cook bacon with a machine gun

He may fashion himself conservative, but there's nothing traditional about the way Ted Cruz eats his bacon.
In a short online video produced by IJReview titled "Making Machine-Gun Bacon with Ted Cruz," the 2016 candidate demonstrates that happiness — at least at breakfast time — is literally a warm gun.
"There are few things I enjoy more than on the weekend cooking breakfast with the family," the Texas Republican senator says in the video. "Of course, in Texas, we cook bacon a little differently than most folks."
A video montage then plays showing Cruz, an ardent supporter of gun rights, purchasing raw bacon at a grocery store and cooking it with the hot barrel of a just-fired machine gun — providing an entirely new meaning for the expression "pork-barrel politics."
The video shows strips of the raw meat being delicately wrapped around the barrel of the gun and then covered in aluminum foil.
Cruz then fires off several rounds from the deadly rifle at a target on what appears to be a gun range — generating enough heat to cook the bacon.

I actually think he is honking liberal tits on purpose with this. Obviously they don’t cook bacon like this all the time and the video is a humorous puff piece but it will drive the left nuts.

I don't think so. This will endear him to some Freepers, but will strike a lot of middle-of-the-road people as just weird. It was a STUPID move for anyone who wants to get elected, because to get elected you need the middle. I'm about to strike Cruz off my short list, however much I may like him in some respects.
