It seems that no one at the Asinine Presstitutes have been shopping for groceries, office supplies, cars or anything else for that matter!

If they are “reporting” this it must be on orders from the White House. A Fed rate increase on the way?

My pay is what is what 20 years ago. I didn’t want to take such a cut at an established employer but nothing else was open when I needed it.

Hoping to get on elsewhere while I have at least some money coming in (it’s half of what I need).

Checked with one former employer who listed a job. Former co-worker says they are down to a staff of 100 in this city. Fortunately some other good positions appear to be open (including one I interviewed well for at a different company). My skills are a better match there, room for growth, much shorter commute (2 hour round trip for the current job), and more marketable skills to another company should I need to move on.

Thanks, Obama. < /sarc >

i have noticed a sharp increase in groceries.

I buy for 1 person, me. But it is rare to get out of the store for less than $100.

Same story in Australia. Very high prices for essential items.

I have been responsible for a lot of the grocery shopping from my family, so I am sensitive to changes in prices.

It has been painful doing the grocery shopping for the last several years.

Even the cheap stores are expensive now. Basic ground beef, chicken e.t.c. have gone up quite a lot.

I haven’t noticed the increase in the price of haircuts. But then I have cut my own since I got out of the AF in 1970. Now with a lot less to cut it takes me 5 minutes if I linger as I don’t have so much to cut anymore.
