WASHINGTON (CNN) —The frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination is a former pro-choice Democrat who once supported Canadian-style universal health care, tax hikes on the wealthy and said Hillary Clinton was "terrific."

As he prepares for the first GOP debate of the election season next week, Donald Trump is disavowing many of his former positions and earning support from about one in every five Republicans through a combination of blustering rhetoric and dogged condemnation of the political class.

Now, the question is whether Trump's lead will hold up against the gust of attacks -- and charges of hypocrisy -- he is likely to face from his GOP foes during Thursday's debate. That threat hasn't compelled him, however, to detail his policy platforms.

Sort of what my first reaction was. But I could see him appointing experts who are not beholding to any lobbyist etc

His chief of staff will be someone he knows and trusts .... somebody on his staff now, I would guess.

Somewhere on line there is a video describing how she her brothers work together. First they brainstorm possibilities (often using outsider presentation then an elimination occurs until they have general consensus.
He has experience being head of the board

I think his Cabinet would be more like what Reagan put together. Plus I can see him having a (kitchen) cabinet on the side like Reagan and T Roosevelt had.

The press keeps pressing Trump “what will you do about the isis, what will you do about putting people back to work, what will you do about health? I have yet to hear any of the other candidates asked some of the questions they ask Trump. Isis has been batteling us, under various names since W was in office. Of W the question was “WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BRING THE TROOPS HOME?” Now under nobama it’s, “oh my leader you’re doing a wonderful job winning “over” isis.” HU..isis keeps winning territory. But the Donald will need an exit strategy as did W. The twiddling presstitutes bow down before the mess eye ua and ask tough questions as, what color socks are you wearing today, or other nonsense questions. The press is as RED as the Soviet Union. Wait, it’s coming back.

On Meet the Press Chuck Todd (talk about idiots) asked Trump if he would bring back water boarding. Trump said, “They're chopping off peoples’ heads. Water boarding sounds pretty tame compared to that.”
