EXPLOSIONS NEAR TWO CHURCHES IN LAS CRUCES,NM

I can't post this story direct because of copyright issues but the "Las Cruces Sun-News" is reporting TWO EXPLOSIONS NEAR CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH AND HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH IN LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO THIS MORNING.
THE EXPLOSION CALLS CAME IN BETWEEN 8 AND 9AM LOCAL TIME.
NO APPARENT INJURIES WITH A POLICE SPOKESMAN SAYING THE EXPLOSIONS INVOLVED A LOT OF SHREDDED PAPER APPARENTLY FIREWORKS.
SERVICES WERE GOING ON AT BOTH CHURCHES AT THE TIME OF EXPLOSIONS. CHURCHGOERS WERE EVACUATED AND TOLD NOT TO USE THEIR CARS TO LEAVE.......

Thankfully the explosions were limited to a trash can and mailbox.
Hopefully they’ll catch the perp planting the bombs thru video footage or eyewitness account.

Newspapers will print anything:
"It was a real bomb, I saw all the parts," said Cavalry Baptist member Dennis Llewellyn, who said he was outside the church when the explosive went off. Llewellyn said he was a former special forces member with the Marines and recognized bomb parts that included an Eveready battery. He and fellow church member Mike Stewart kept churchgoers arriving for the 8:30 a.m. service from going into the building during the five to 10 minutes it took for police to arrive. Stewart was the one to notice the debris and damaged mailbox, the two men said.
There are no USMC SF and a battery in the trash does not equal a bomb.
Years ago, I made a precautionary landing in a field in a 2-seat Cessna 150. Engine was running very rough. No damage to a/c. Fixed it and flew it off the next weekend.
Local newspaper "journalette" responded to "crash site." I told her 8 people died in crash and pilot was Snively Whiplash.
She printed it.
