You know? This is the second article I’ve seen about defending or “laying off” Huckabee remarks for his “oven” remark.
Just spit balling here but wouldn’t collective UPDATED wisdom in the wake of Trump’s unapologetic stance over what he’s said with respect to illegals, etc. and his rise in the polls be some kind of a clue to the dweebs out there in this campaign?
Why in the heck do also-rans of the establishment whatever NEED somebody to protect, explain or defend them?
It would seem to me “who cares?” Huckabee is not, ever was on my radar as someone who I’d vote for. But, still, his supporters seem awfully behind current non-Democrat voter sentiment to me.
'Course that pretty much goes for all the Republican candidates. They better learn to take advantage of those situations.
My advice: Don't address the controversy directly. Use the attention to get your message across. Prolong the effort to drag some sort of apology or retraction out of you. In fact, don't apologize at all. They'll get bored with the whole thing eventually anyway when some other Republican makes some sort of controversial statement or Hitlery farts some inanity they can swoon over.
So—Is the Huckster’s campaign trying to walk-back the oven comment via Goldberg, or is Jonah doing this on his own?
