U.S. wildlife agencies will assist Zimbabwean authorities in their investigation into the killing of the iconic African lion, Cecil, according to a published report. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports dentist Walter Palmer has not been charged in Zimbabwe, though his guide and outfitter have. Palmer, who lives in the Minneapolis suburb of Eden Prairie and practices in nearby Bloomington, said late Tuesday he regretted the animal’s death, but thought he was acting legally.

Oh yeh! I forgot about Corbett. I’m going to have to brush up on that book. They say there’s nothing like the thrill of hunting a big lion in the brush. I know if you wound one, you could have a bad day. My brother is a Safari hunter and he says there is nothing like slipping 416 Rigby or a 505 Gibbs in the chamber and awaiting a cape buffalo charge. Shooting a leopard from a blind can put your pulse up, too!

So 0 ordered the agency to harass the American hunter, while the people who took secret videos of PP baby parts sellers are being targeted as lawbreakers.

Every action the Government takes is political. Once you understand that, everything makes sense.

Corbett, by in large went after man eaters, leopards and Tigers. At the end of his life he decided taking photos of them and protecting them were more manly. His stories are wonderful.

Yes, Corbett was nothing like this dentist. Corbett's only aim (no pun intended) was to kill tigers and leopards that had killed literally hundreds of people in India. Among his books that are my favorites are Man-eaters of Kumaon, The Man-eating Leopard of Rudraprayag, and The Temple Tiger, all outstanding, true, narratives of his incredible adventures.
