Lets just quit this nonsense. No matter how much we make an effort, some other foreign city wins it. F IOC.

They are talking Los Angeles again. I was walking distance (3 blocks) from one of the events in 1984. It was ‘interesting’.

I vote Greenup, KY.

We have a big field for events, and we can clear off the hillside for seating.

As for sleeping and eating, ya better bring a camper or a tent.

This is where a Trump-like character would be convenient. He could tell the IOC that the fraud has come to an end.

For a buck ninty five I will allow them to hold the Olympics in my front yard. I have five acres of gently sloping hill that would be perfect for summer games. For the winter, not so much, would need to take a road trip to Tahoe. But, I will let it go cheap!

IOC vice president Craig Reedie said it was a “shame” that a city like Boston was selected for a potential bid and then is incapable of completing the process.

Screw you, Reedie! Screw the Olympics!

A Boston Olympics would have simply been a vehicle to transfer wealth from the taxpayers to the local crony capitalists. They have bad breath.

Translation: We already bribed the IOC for the win, but we need a city.

Have the skiing in Aspen the bob sled in Northern Scotland the ice skating in Central Park the ski jump in Switzerland and the other sports where ever facilities are already in place

The TV coverage won’t really suffer and it would provide more opportunities for fans to see at some of the events

If only one US city is in the running, the bribes will be much smaller.

You betcha they want another city to apply.

Or should I have said “gratuities?”

The Olympics is a huge money making scam for those who “organize” it and then they leave the bill to the tax payers to pick up for all the “infrastructure improvements” that seem to cost 10 times the original estimates.

Boston is lucky there are still a few (and i mean a few) people who can see through the IOC BS.

Here is an idea, hold the Summer Olympics every 4 years where it all started ... in Greece. That way the infrastructure will always be in place and the rest of the countries just have to put up “upkeep” money to refurbish the place 4 years later.

Hold the Winter Olympics in Kitzbuhel Austria, home of the best Downhill run, every 4 years.

But that would make too much sense now wouldn’t it.

Qatar bidding for the summer games? So they can get moved to December like the soccer world cup because it’s too hot in summer? That Qatar?

The Olympic Committee needs to pay the host city to host their games. The olympics needs too many venues in one place for it to be cost effective to build for a one-time use.
