Its not yes, right of association is protected, however, doesn’t mean the gay mafia won’t drag churches into court anyway, just because they can.

A Scout is:

Trustworthy,
Loyal,
Helpful,
Friendly,
Courteous,
Kind,
Obedient,
Cheerful,
Thrifty,
Brave,
Clean, and
Reverent

The leaders? Not so much.

But this can’t be!!! Right here the BSA states:

“The BSA will defend religious chartered organizations that select their leaders based on good-faith religious beliefs.” (Does anyone see the weasel words used in that statement?)

Sure they will...past behavior is indicative of future performance...the BSA LIED to its members that once the youth policy was enacted, they would not revisit the issue.

Instead, they acted on this quickly, so quickly in fact that the LDS attempts to postpone the vote in order for their representatives to attend in August were summarily dismissed by the BSA in order to exclude them...I don’t know how many reps they have, but it appears to have been close to a landslide, 45-12 voting in favor of the policy change.

The BSA is causing its membership to tear itself apart and will further accelerate the decline...just check out all of the “spiking the football” type comments here:

http://blog.scoutingmagazine.org/2015/07/27/bsa-amends-adult-leadership-standards-heres-change-means-scout-unit/

Now the pro-homos are using the very same arguments that were used to defend against the homos; “If you don’t like or are unable to comply with National poicy, either start your own group or find another.”

IOW, “It’s a brave new world. Submit or get out.”

Perhaps the long term goal is to turn the Boy Scouts into an essentially defunct organization receiving funds from corporate sponsors and nonprofits that are leftist dominated. Assuming the LDS church ceases its support of the organization, and the Catholics do similarly in the more conservative dioceses and parishes, the number of troops will be drastically reduced. Evangelical Protestants have largely withdrawn support from the Boy Scouts. Parents who send their sons into the BSA tend to be culturally conservative. Cultural liberals place little stock in the old school values the Boy Scouts formerly inculcated. They also have fewer children.

In a decade, membership will probably be south of one million, about half of what it is now. However, the bureaucrats who run the BSA will have access to corporate largess that will in turn allow them to enjoy big salaries. As membership declines, the organization will sell off campgrounds that are no longer needed.

What will happen to the BSA is what has happened to the liberal, mainline Protestant denominations. When liberals take over, conservatives leave. An example is the Presbyterian Church, USA, with 1.7 million members in 2014, down from 2.5 million at the beginning of the century.

The Scout Oath:

On my honor I will do my best

To do my duty to God and my country

and to obey the Scout Law;

To help other people at all times;

To keep myself physically strong,

mentally awake, and morally straight.

Churches better drop their support for the BSA asap. There is always a Judas in any organization ready to sell them out for their 20 pieces of silver or a quickie in the rectory!!!

Will those churches that still sponsor BSA troops possibly be held liable in some way when lawsuits are filed due to homosexual scout leaders are found to be diddling young men in said troops?

Money laundering. Maybe not in a legal sense, but that’s basically what it is.

This once-great organization is no longer serving any legitimate interest.

How long before the policy of allowing churches to opt out is challenged?

I made this argument after they voted last year to allow gay scouts.

I said then that all it would take would be one thing said by a parent or leader, or one act of discrimination (non-inclusion in some event) or a whole host of things said or done by any fellow scout, parent, or leader to trigger a suit that could go after the parents, the bsa, AND the church that sponsors the troop.

I believe that the church was the intended target all along.

All scout sponsoring churches should be on notice now!

Sponsor a scout troop = serious vulnerability to legal action!

DROP THE BSA!!!!!

If you read the ravings of the deranged sodomites over this issue, tomorrow.

>>> The Boy Scouts were founded as a Christian organization.

Yes... and the Boy Scouts have been sued multiple times for discrimination, and remained UNDEFEATED in court due to our constitutional right to association.

However... Once the BSA said “OK” to gays, they literally and explicitly THREW AWAY their only constitutional defense against such lawsuits.

Good analysis. Makes no difference to them that nobody much attends their so-called services. Their endowments go a lot farther that way, and hardly anyone questions what's happening to the money/property.

AWANA is a good program but for a true masculine Christ centered outdoor organization for boys, trail life USA is the way to go
